I'm hatching out custom orders right now, and chicks for me, but after that I'm free from orders.

I don't have an incubator.

Go to one of the local auctions (or have someone watch for you)....in the fall, incubators sell pretty cheap.

I've considered picking up another one, but am waffling. Plus, I won't get to the auction this Saturday because I have a re-cert class that will go late.

Kassaundra, outstanding pics as always! I think the mystery bugs may be blister beetles, and they are bad, bad, bad. If that's what they are, they post sentries and all fall to the ground when they spy predators--at least they do here. They'll line the underside of hosta leaves and strip them from the outside in, leaving only a celery-looking stem with the veins streaming out. They can level a large hosta plant in a day.

On the other hand, Hope your DD is feeling better and hope Harley is being successfully educated LOL

I know this utube video isn't about chickens but it is about herding I think I might have to try this out when I need the geese and ducks to head into the pens LOL I found it quite funny actually LOL

Awesome video....when you try it you have to be sure to play the Rawhide theme song...I could just see the look on my guineas faces..
