Well, Good for you!!

Thanks Ms. June! I've been thinking about how deeply I wanted to get back into chickens after almost selling out before the summer... well, I decided that doing a fall hatch in my Sportsman was the best first step. And what eggs were the first that became available? - Seramas of course!

Just meant to be...don't fight it.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

For all you 'wannabe' Serama owners...

Aspen, do you raise your Seramas on sand or is that just from this desert-invoking summer

.... No, really, I have heard of people raising their birds on sand, but I've not tried it, and just wondered if you had?

Good morning Okies!

Kassaundra those are some fabulous pictures!

Trip to urgent care yesterday got me a walking boot and orders to stay off of that ankle/foot as much as possible and keep it elevated with ice...now how in the world do they expect me to do that with two girls at home, a husband with a broken hand, and tons of stuff to do at the farm before winter hits?!

On the humorous side the doc asked me if I needed a note for home....rofl....
lau.gif
.....guess he didn't think I'd be able to stay off of this foot very easily or something.

Anyway, thankful it's not broken, surprised to find out I have a heel spur that will need to be removed at some point in the future, but overall interesting doctor visit. Time to figure out how to get everything done and keep this foot elevated...wish me luck!

I'm hatching out custom orders right now, and chicks for me, but after that I'm free from orders.

I don't have an incubator.

I just bet I'd lend you mine
smile.png

It's just a Little Giant but it has an automatic turner and I did hatch out the most perfect Cochin babies in the world in it.

Edit:
Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

I do custom hatches..or sometime side trades!

~Aspen

But her way would be 100% more reliable than trying to hatch them yourself.

The little styrofoam incubators are best for serama....and I don't use my turners...just roll them around by hand 2X a day...no vibration that way...too late YOU'RE HOOKED...don't resist.
