Good luck finding the owner! I have a #22 young black heifer I keep finding at my mailbox or just to the west side of my property. No one will claim it! And she is still alive & kicking! Both of the gentlemen that run cattle next to me say she isn't theirs! One says all his are brand the other says he only uses orange tags. Even twice had people come up & ask if she was mine so I am not the only one who has tried to find the owner! Glad your boy made it out unharmed.

I don't want to hear the talk of multiple cars! Ears are closed to that one. I drove the same truck all through highschool. My sister did have to get a new car @ the end of her senior yr for taking out a deer. I don't look forward to my kids driving. I look back & wonder why did my dad just hand me a pretty truck & why did I never have to pay for gas?

Found teh owner rather quickly, in teh daylight it was pretty easy. of course I did go down early morning right after the school busses and morning traffic was clearing expecting teh owner to be coming to pick teh calf up out of teh ditch. I was right.. Now I have his information and will see where that goes but not hopefull.
We had just bought that truck about 4 1/2 months ago. I really think he needs to move within a block or two of his work and walk, he has always been this way anything with wheels (Bicylces, skate boards, skates) if it has wheels it will have a problem.

We are doing great Wayne, thanks for asking. The chicken building is coming along pretty good, we have the truses up & will soon be working on the metal roof & sides. It has slowed down some because we haven't been home to get anything done.

So glad your son is okay! I feel your pain on being car number 7, we are starting on #3 for mine!

the problem is he hasn't even been driving 3 years... and that is just the cars that have been tore up, not counting the motors, transmissions, clutches, etc. I made him buy this one himself after doing the math on what I had spent in 1 year of keeping in a car. he was without a vehichle for over 4 months the last time.

Yep I still feel your pain we are just about 1 1/2, will be 2 in Dec. Mine has been without for a few months now & it was a learning lesson. He will be buying this one himself.

I thinking making your boy pay for his own vehicles is a good way to encourage him to attempt to make them last longer. However, this one prob wasnt too much his fault. Glad you found the owner. Hope he is able to cover the damages! Yet another reminder why I don't want cattle as of yet. Can't imagine a chicken causes someone to total out the vehicle. But there is a flock of guineas that always cross the road by pioneer school-- they may very well cause a wreck one day.

She was online about two weeks ago. Do you need her email address?

I would love to have her email address if you could pm it to me! Thanks!

Glad to hear your son is okay and you were able to find theowner. He is responsible for the damage. It's not like a deer....he owns the beef.

I think you're right on the money with that one. My horses already have winter coats and when we cut the persimmon seed it had a spoon in it just like last year! Get ready folks...lots of snow!

I cut serveal of the persimmons seeds & also got the spoon in every one of them.
