ok what it is doing is leaking between the liner and tank....

Ok so might be time for a new one!! Sorry!!

be sure to turn off the breaker going to the water tank.. Otherwise you may have more trouble and an outrageous bill... Turn off the water supply to the tank. I will search out some options for you quickly. Your electric is part of teh touchstone Co-op they do have a water heater program and used to offer financing on the bill and may still do that I am not certain at this time but will get back to you on that shortly.

The division director told me even though he probably shouldn't have... the letter went to the executive agency director (I work for a county non-profit, we're not county employees, we're non-profit employees). The ExecDirector usually does NOT tell anyone that they are getting axed in advance, he likes to sneak up on them like the evil little toad he is. The division director has been working at this agency for 28 years, 20 of them as the division director. He refuses to allow us to be left out in the cold, so he tells us when there is a potential issue coming down the pike.

I'll be putting in my applications at a lot of places, including looking up what jcatblum said about possible internships. I was a military dependent my entire childhood (two prior service parents, one medical out, one retired). I was also married to a TSgt for a few years, and divorced him. James of course is a member of the USMC(R). Maybe some of that will help.

Anyway. I'm not "worried" about it, I just want to be prepared.

At least you have someone to "warn" you. People can be so cold sometimes. Good luck with your search! I was about ready to give up my security last year, but then I fell in love with these little chicks and it seems all my "extra" income now goes towards all of them (which I certainly don't have a problem with)

The tankless hotwater systems are quite nice I have used several of them. They offer whole house systems, and smaller ones that just mount down by the sinks and such, You will do best installing a whole house tankless and a small (6 gallon tank) under the cabinet for the kitchen. If you are on ONG you can get a rebate up to $850 for teh upgrade to tankless and OG&E and PSO both have great rebate programs right now too. PSO will provide rebates for energy conservation efforts up to 8K.

There was also a tax rebate type thing from the IRS, but I don't know if it expired (it was for several enegy efficiant upgrades windows, solar, and I think tankless water heaters) You may want to check into it.

That would be okay. Whatever works for you.
I'll get a tub/starter box set up in the hot tub room for them just in case.
Your set up of weekly brooder boxes give me an idea to set up more than one tub in there on the tables with lights overhead so each little grouping can get bigger before putting them together in one big pen.
