Afternoon, Okies!

The weather is beautiful today. I hope everyone has a chance to go outside and enjoy it.

Shishooter60 - I enjoyed our brief visit. I hope the trio does well for you. The cockerel is about a month younger than the pullets, so he may be a bit awkward around them for a little while. After you left, my granddaughter talked me into buying chocolate covered almonds and mint trefoils. Okay, so she didn't have to talk me into it. She knows I'm an easy sell if when it comes to supporting her Girl Scout troop.

Robin - The NN cockerels are swooning over my tiny white Chantecler pullet. I think I may end up keeping the sweetest of the three to be her mate. I let the three free-range a bit while I fed the goats. These two found a plastic bowl with a dead cricket in it. The cricket was being eaten by ants, but once the cockerels figured out that the ants were food, they gobbled them up in seconds.

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the wreck. We are both fine. Truck needs some repair. Yes i am still looking for quail. Internet is very poor so if you know of any please email [email protected] . I am also selling lots of my oriental gamefowl.

Finished a research proposal that snuck up on me (it wasn't on the assignment list but was in the lesson packet. Glad I looked at it today). Need to go out and work on more mulching but I literally can't breathe out of my nose because my allergies are so bad today. Considering taking a nap for a little bit THEN trying to run the mulcher. Don't know if I can tho, since breathing is necessary for napping.... that, and the chickens need more litter.

Slow day on BYC all the way around. Probably a good thing, otherwise I'd've procrastinated that assignment something fierce.

Robin - I'll see if I can get my tiny Chantecler to pose today. She's not shy about being picked up, but she's never had a camera in her face.

Gary, my DH made our girls a wire "greens envelope" so I can stuff them full of greens and they will be kept in place while the girls go to town on them. Had to try them out today (one for each pen) and they were a huge hit they work great.

Home from the soccer game...the girls won 1 - 0. One of our other daughters brought her two little boys to the soccer game...had a great time. Dogs have been fed their dinner. We had a yogurt cone on the way home so the human's dinner can wait a while. Think I'll finish the evening chores while it is still light, then dinner and go to be early....no time for a nap.
