We had chicken taco soup last night and I am looking for crockpot recipes using chicken, so I can go outside quickly after getting home from work to do chores. What goes into your crockpot garlic chicken (besides garlic and chicken

)

Nothing really inventive. Whole chicken with lots of garlic in & on it along with a whole onion & other spices on top. Cant remember if you do facebook but there is a Crockin Girls that have nothing but crock pot stuff.

Thank you very much, I will check out the facebook connection.

I woke up unexpectedly at 12:40 this morning and immediately wondered if we had another earthquake. Since no one has posted on here about one last night (my source of information instead of the news) I am going to think that something else woke me up.

Morning

We've got a lot of standing water today. Our ponds have filled up nicely, but I could do without the mini pond off the front porch. I think I'll use a hoe and cut a channel so that the water will drain into the pasture.

Joe - Love the goat pictures. They are so cute! How old are they? I'm expecting the goat pneumonia vaccine I ordered online to be delivered by UPS today, so our does will probably go to the breeder on Friday. After seeing all the baby goat pictures posted recently I know I'm going to have one terrible time when I have to sell our babies next spring. I remember seeing Granddad's lambs at a few days old. He talked tough but I know he got attached.

We are east of Oklahoma City and got 1.5 inches. We just weren't in the main band of rain.

I have a three hour dentist appointment in OKC so that's 5 hours away from home. Hope there are no quakes while we are gone...do I sound a little paranoid?

By the way the latest research tells us NOT to get under a piece of sturdy furniture, rather lay along side it and let it supoport any ceiling/roof that falls. This give you a triangle of space that could be life saving instead of being crushed under the desk or table.
Choose a sofa or large chest or the end of the bed or cabinet. Try to pick a spot close to an outside wall so that debris does not block your escape. Never go outside during an earthquake and NEVER stand in the doorway.

Thankful for each day with family and friends.

Morning All!

P&B I too woke at around 12 am this morning thinking it may have been a quake. From what I have read on-line it we may have felt some after-shocks. Have not been sleeping well for a few days. Not sure if it is the time change, quakes or what. Hopefully this weekend I can sleep in.

Okladoodle, I love your bantam EE pics. A while back I had a beautiful rooster but had to sell him. That roo had the worst "little man syndrome" of any bird I have ever seen, even the hens wanted to kick his butt. I was so afraid of letting him out of the transition pen because there was a line just waiting to kill him. He had the coolest crow.

Well better get to work. Fortunetly I have my grading done and inputted, now I just need to print out reports. Let's just say there are going to be some unhappy kids today.

Have a great day everyone!
