Yes, I grind it down with my electric coffee grinder. All my girls use this soap for their faces...won't use anything else.
Do you ever use mint in any of your soaps... as in fresh mint? I have tons of it growing in a corner of my flowerbed and it smells so wonderful there's got to be something useful to do with it. I'd gladly mail you some if you wanted it.
I have used mint. I infuse it into oil. 2 cups of Fresh leaves in a crockpot with 2 cups of warm olive oil and let it steep overnight. Then use that oil as part of the olive oil in a recipe. (You can also set it in a quart jar in a warm window sill for 24 hours)
I have both spearmint and peppermint.
If I want to put the mint leaves in a recipe, I dehydrate the leaves and run them thru the coffee grinder. Makes a great fleck in a bar as well as imparting a little fragrance that way. Rosemary and peppermint go great together.
Frosty Morning! The birds are fine, but the ducks are disappointed with the layer of ice in their pool. On my walk to the mailbox, I spotted a few frosted weeds. Winter is almost here.
Jezebel, the blue cochin, has joined the flock in Heaven. She was snuggled in a nest box out in the teen pen with Delilah, her sister, when I went out to check. They were like Mutt and Jeff. I removed Jezebel and Delilah then went to feed with the others....like she was waiting for me to take her. Jezzy has been weak and I have been hand feeding her every day. She would walk with Delilah around the pen and would free-range so I let them stay together. The cold was just too much for her.
All the other birds are doing great. Lots of crowing going on this morning with all the hard frost on the ground. Even Jarvis roo is doing better moving around his pen. Will let it thaw and then let them out to free-range.
Sorry about your cochin NaNa.
Its cold here this morning but at least the sun is shin ning. Going out and let the icelands do some free rangeing. I have to watch them because they like to wonder off and I sure don't want anything to happen to them. Their combs are getting bright red but so far only get an egg every once in a while.
