Upcdayz, that tiny baby is adorable! I hope it works to try to fix her feet. I've also read that sometimes it fixes itself after 24 hrs. Certainly wouldn't hurt to help her along. I sure would.
Here's my Faverolles boy. I can't believe after 3 months I finally found another one. I'm sure no one could tell how excited I was last night to get him

And only $30 for the pair, I thought that was a heck of a deal when for the boy alone I'd have paid a lot more than that. They're thin but buying groceries for them will be a pleasure.
Mike, the 2nd picture is the hen I got from you last October. I hope this rooster is as sweet to his girls as the Faverolles boy I lost.
Haha-I borrowed Elwood's idea and wrapped a 4' dog crate in blankets and tarps to quarantine the Fav pair in. It's like a cocoon in there. I've wormed and debugged chickens all day, no better way to spend a Sunday.

Since you are in Comanche co - Michael will be able to get you the birds you are looking for I am sure-- he is only 40 - 45 min away from Lawton.
As far as farmers market each market is different. Are you wanting to sell in Lawton? They have the regs on the farmers market site. Already a few vendors with eggs, don't know if they will allow another. When you apply to sell & pay your fees you had to state what you will be selling & they must approve. Not sure how many eggs you are thinking you will have, but between membership, market dues & time + gas I don't think it would be worth only selling eggs at the market unless you were doing it as pure entertainment. - sorry

Thanks i'm trying to keep it local, never had much luck with mailed eggs

Don

There is a guy in Edmond- has ad on CL- $8 dz. Says they were just starting to lay, so eggs would be bigger & more plentiful in a few months.

I cut a band- aid in half hot dog bun style. Bandage legs into correct position will be good in 24-48 hours. Are the toes curled as well? For curled toes (usually only happens in my guinea keets) I make a shoe out of a dime & tape the toes corrected within a few days-- I retape daily, using medical tape.

I have corrected toe's using a pipe cleaner & making a chicken foot & using banaids to tape the foot to the pipe cleaner.

Good evening everyone. Did you enjoy this cool day? I managed to do some demo work in the turkey house. We've got a fairly large bonfire going right now. We spent the weekend cleaning the yard.

You have found a wonderful group of folks who either live in Oklahoma or wish they lived in Oklahoma

Disclaimer: some of the folks on this thread are addicted to attending poultry auctions, hatching poultry and otherwise acquiring poultry. Since addicts tend to be enablers, some of us may try to assist you in the acquisition of more poultry than you are prepared to build pens for pens for and some may also try and encourage you to acquire poultry prior to building housing for them.

That said, everyone has a different idea on the best birds to survive the extreme temperatures of Oklahoma. Some recommend naked necks/turkens for the heat, since they don't have as much skin covered with feathers and are therefore better able to disburse heat. Others recommend against black birds for the summer heat, since they tend to absorb more heat than their light colored friends. As a practical matter, any bird will do fine in the winter, provided it has a place to roost out of the wind and the coop has enough ventilation that it doesn't accumulate condensation inside. There are some great suggestions for keeping un-frozen water in front of your birds all winter long and what you decide to do will likely depend on the amount of time you have to refill waterers daily and whether your coops have access to electricity. I have not tried the "cookie tin" heaters for waterers, but have had good success with black rubber tubs and breaking the ice out of them daily.

Fortunately, poultry has not yet been shown to be affected by Oklahoma's newest phenomenon, earthquakes
