***OKIES in the BYC III ***

This afternoon I am selling my ornamental birds. I have a Sarema and a White Crested Polish that are going to a Texan for a better life. My utility birds don't like these girls. Then Saturday I am hoping to pick up another Roo and get my yard cleaned up and my wife's garden prepped for spring. Finally I plan to take the children and our goat for a hike in the wildlife reserve after church Sunday. Thanks for asking Sooner.

I am ready for the weekend off! Anyone got plans? I will be pushing to get the building as far along as possible since DH will have shoulder surgery next Friday. If he can get the floor in I can do alot of the rest until he is well.

Woohoo I made it, man that was a lot to catch up on! It's cool to see everyone asking and answering questions and testing all the new features unfortunately the new thread isn't very iPhone friendly. I'm going to see if I can't find updates to help.

Are they requiring more documentation of losses and expenses than they did? I always dred doing taxes, it seems to wreck my year as soon I know what we owe.. Puts me in a bad mood for a few weeks then I bounce back.

She told me to include receipts on big ticket items on rental property and for business purchases this year. Also on any big sales: land etc. There are some new forms this year. Mileage rates went up and there are two mileage rates for business again this year. I keep the cattle records (split between hubby and BIL) and our farm expenses as well as our personal records on rent house and home...takes a lot of time. I like my 13 column ledgers to balance each moth to the penny. and makes it easier collecting the categories. I'm a few months behind on entering receipts into the ledger system so will take a few days to get caught up before I prepare the paperwork for the CPA.
