I've been working on my new dubia colony home today. I'm hoping to have all the "bugs" lol worked out by spring so I can move the colony in and grow them out through the spring and summer to make the colony much larger hoping to go from a 50/day feed out to 300 /day feed out by the end of this coming summer.

Wow, get busy for a few days and things get remodeled while I'm away. Like the new look.

Just checking in though, since the weather is nice I am trying to get a couple of Spring projects out of the way early.

Guy we have LF Shamo hatching from that pair that we got from you at Blanchard. Hard to believe that those little fellers will grow to be huge like their parents. Not much bigger then a bantam when they hatch. Good to see that you are hatching a few as well.

Well I'm off to pull the bed on the Dakota to replace the wiring on the fuel pump. I don't care what anyone says, in-tank fuel pumps are not high on my list as bright ideas!

Glad to hear you are getting younguns out of the pair. I think if it was me (I hate to mechanic but have to some cause too broke to hire it done) I would figure out where it was under bed. Cut out a piece of bed, fix tank thru bed then bolt somthing over the hole.

Did just that very thing yesterday, metal cutting blade then a patch back and a little bed liner
sprayed over it and good to go, not fun but much faster just over an hour

If'n it was my truck I would probably go that route but it's Teva's. And when mama isn't happy nobody is!! LOL

Since pulling beds is what I do a lot at work it is second nature to me. We install a lot of gooseneck hitches and 5th wheels. I just love drilling 4" holes in the beds of trucks that cost more then my first house did.

Nana thanks for asking,it's doing much better.soreness is about gone.
Well it was cold this morning but warmed up a little this afternoon. We went Lowes and looked at their sheds,still pondering the ideal of making a house out of one! Just tying to figure out cheaper ways to live.finally figured out thar big and fancy doesn't necessarily have to fit into our retirement years! Small habitual and easy sound pretty good!lol
This last cold spell didn't slow the egg layers down much ,they are still doing good.they sure enjoy these nice days and getting to free range.
Got my Sandhill catalog yesterday and am thinking about doing odre for some rare and unusual breeds.and maybe a cheap assortment too. Don't think it would be hard to sell the excess Roos and or pairs. They have some pretty neat breeds.

MJ, at the bottom right hand side of every post there's buttons that say "Multi" "Quote" and "Reply" as you're going through reading the posts and find one you want to respond to just click the button that says "Multi" under it, then go on and read the rest of the posts, clicking "Multi" whenever you find one you want to respond to. Then when you've read the last post, right there at the bottom left hand side click on the "Post Reply" button. A message editor box will pop up with all the posts you've chosen to reply to. Then just sandwich your replies in under each quoted texts.
I love the multi-quote button If you want to make a separate reply for each post you can click on "Quote" and reply to each one individually.
The new forum is NOT iPad friendly and I imagine it's not very phone-friendly either.
