I'm thinking about getting an incubator......I've got my Little Giant but I want a better one that I don't have to stress over water levels and all that, going to look up a brinsea like Robin's getting.

Would you be interested in a trio of them assuming even 1/2 of them hatch? It'd be nice to have someone on the list that breeds that color and you're way better at that stuff than me. You could just have them, no charge. You have a heart of gold and it makes me want to help you.

well. i went with the mini, its only $64 and shipping and a great review- everyone i talk to says brinsea is the easiest they've ever used... pop the eggs in there and turn them and soon you have little peeps!

yes- i can't resist an offer like that, you know me!! and those are gorgeous! wish i could know if its going to stay nice out, then i can throw together some more pens!

dont worry robin, if you can wait a while the price will fall like it does with all the "fad" breeds.

happens with them all, at first they are stupid high, then people get a few and fi9gure out they are just chickens and the price drops way down.

yeah, talked to someone who said her first dozen she had shipped was $150, thats just too risky for me.... now when joe gets some, i'll eat beans or a month to get his!

The chicks are ready to get in the brooder. Think i counted 25 so far, there are still lots of blue & green eggs left to hatch though! So far I saw a few blues in there & one that looks white. DD will for sure want to keep those. Our roo is blue Wheaton & the blue Wheaton pullets from the last batch are my favorites. So hopefully we get a few more to match!
