***OKIES in the BYC III ***

There is not one right now.. just with my city council dont want to give them a reason to start one either! Man .. would love some peacocks but I really dont think that I want tooo many noisy fellows No roosters here... at least right now. Not that my neighbors would mind but the city is the issue..

The little guys and gals I have right now are doing amazing - feels good to have fowl again... and a veggie garden, and fruit trees... it is really what I moved out this way for!

I want some peafowl. I'd love to hatch some eggs out. I discussed that with my daughters last night. I live in the country. Not many neighbors. But unfortantly they sold the field accross from my house. Now we are going to have a housing edition built there. Really sad about that. I thought if I did get some peafowl and the buyers heard them maybe they wouldn't want to live there. ....My birds where here first. Ha-ha. But that's just wishful thinking. I was really enjoying not having to see people out here. :(

Anyone on here think that peacocks could be kept quite"ish" to be kept in town?

Hey I can dream right... I still think I will keep my keets, chicks, ducklings, and gooslings all quite... dont mess that up for me yet! lol...

Already they are getting on the noisy side.. but I love them dearly...

I am "in town" but in town in Blanchard just means well I can see the folks around me - on my block there is only two of us, block behind me there is four, other side of me three... so we are all nothing like in a city.

Moved back home to OK after a few years in Dallas - that was crazy and stupid and I will never ever move there again... makes me love everything about Blanchard - nutty city and all.

I know what you mean, DH asked me what was wrong when I smacked him and said do nothing my -----, men gotta love them, or ya gotta string them up. Guess where he is, in bed taking a nap, poor baby.

NoCityboy is the current animal control officer for Blanchard, he can tell you for sure if they are even allowed. From what I hear you do not have to worry about the Council Members, they cannot even agree to have a legal meeting!
