***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Don't EVER pick up a blister beetle! One flew into the house a bit ago and was very annoying flying around the lamp. I caught it and does it ever hurt!

Ag Dept. NPIP tester is coming tomorrow. Fortunately, we only have to test half my flock now--still around 50 birds. Next year, we'll only have to test 1/4.

uhhhhh betsy, your old enough to know better than to pickup blister bugs, why did you think they call them blister bugs?

CAUSE IT HURTS LIKE HADEES!!!!

Hey Mefordz, I thought of you last night while eating those no bake cookies. Sorry, I didn't save any for you. Maybe cowboy will make some extras to share at POOPS. He might have a battle on his hands getting them to the table, though.

Finally got the poops image to cut! With help from many others getting it converted & to work in my temperamental program. This is a rough cut on paper of how it will look, when I transfer the image to vinyl the 2012 wont be crooked hopefully! Going to put it on a silver charger & a tile. Hope to get them done by the weekend. I need to pick up some more tiles tomorrow.

I will do some of the chicken families if I can find images that will work nicely. We LOVE a chance to play with our cricuts! Sorry for the awful pic with my phone!

That's pretty cool, what is the program or equipment you use to cut these out? I sent you a PM also...

lol I wish I'd had that knowledge a couple of hours ago :p Hope I can regain the loss of trust after chasing her everywhere.

treats work wonders- if she sees her flock getting treats, she'll trust you- they are very instinctual and want to be part of the flock, just start carrying treats and pretty soon they will be following you around and come when called

Oh this is so confussing. Do I take cookies to poops or poop to the cookie show?????

Just a few pics from today, but no chicken pics in this group.

Progress, 1/2 the roof including roofing material installed.

First tulip of the year

really beautiful color. I had tulips a few years ago but skunks and/or squirrles dug them up and ate them. The critters don't like Dafodills though.

I get notification from the Cornell Lab of Orthnology. periodically. These two pairs of birds have eggs and have nested in the same areas for several years. Watching them is fascinatingwhen the eggs hatch and the young grow.

The first link is to a live web-cam of a pair of Great Blue Herons on a nest. So far the female has laid one of possibly 4 eggs.

This one is for a pair of Red-Tailed Hawks. The pair has finished their clutch and have started incubating the eggs. The male "Ezra" is sitting this morning.
