***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I was told by a very wise and beloved woman that when flies start to light on barbed wire fencing that means a big storm is headed your way. I don't have barbed wire fencing, but they are lighting all over my brick on my front porch this morning. Hmmm.

Kass~
We can work together on him. I'll incapacitate him with the taser and you can go to work with needle.

Sounds like a great plan, I've got some really big needles.

That taser ride is no fun! I had to be pepper sprayed and tased both to be certified to carry them. I will say, I would much rather be tased than pepper sprayed any day!

I will never carry either one, (in any kind of official capacity) b/c I will never willingly be tazed or sprayed. Just taking care of the sprayed pts after the fact sets off my reactive airway, I can't imagine how bad a direct hit would be, I would require medical intervention for sure and possible intubation.

I had heard that you had to go through being pepper sprayed and tazered but did not believe it. WOW! That is hard core!!!!

I actually thought about Sultans, but aren't they all white? Still getting educated here! The three I have are all variations of black/grey and white mottled. Interesting looking, but
I kinda doubt they are purebred anything.
I had black sultans but they were killed during a dog attack. I loved those guys and have not found any more since. :(

Teach is going to be at Blanchard tonight. Just saying so if anyone wnated to come out and say hi.
Whoot! Whoot! We can torment Teach, I mean see Teach! hehehe!

21 Days to POOPS

Muesky lmk if I need to PM you what I have for poops-- I sent it a few days ago. Think I may need to make a wish list. Top thing on my want list now is honeysuckle cuttings. I love honeysuckle never lived any place without it & some how there isn't a single vine on our 20 acres!

We are headed out the door, going to atwoods frontier city & Blanchard. -- guess we are taking the scenic route.
Bringing 13 RIR chicks & 22 EE. For okie ridge 2 keets & a RIR Cockerel & oxine for Bill. also bringing 36 Amish paste tomatoes they are good size in 4 inch pots. No bloom yet though. With me using the plastic mulch it is too difficult to trench them but i am sure they will do well for yall. Cowboy gets first choice then y'all can fight over the rest. Hope I am not forgetting anything!

The "new" German Shepard went out today about 8, her & the Pyrenees went out exploring & haven't came back. Hope he doesn't leave us for a girl! He usually makes his rounds in the morning & is back by lunch. Nervous though since he has a lady friend now.

My olive egger roosters started crowing at 2 1/2 months old. They are three months old now. Isn't that really early? Their pea combs were already VERY red and large at 3 weeks. No mistaking the roos in this hatch.
I have 5 of these roosters that need a good home if anybody is interested. I will try to post pics once I find my good camera. Three of the roosters are white with mahogany colored leakage in the wing area. All three are pea combed with two of them being muffed and bearded. Two more of the roosters are multi colored with red being the base color and blue mixed in. Pea combed muffs and beards. The final rooster is my favorite of them all. He is red with black feathering around the neck area. Pea combed big muffs and beard. These chicks were the result of a Welsummer roo over true lavender Ameracauna hens. I would be happy to hold them and bring them to POOPS if anybody is interested.

I had to share this pic. This is what my arm looked like after shooting 100 rounds through my 870 shotgun during range qualification. The bruise got much worse over the next couple of days going all the way around my arm. I learned that holding a shotgun in the wrong way is a SELF correcting problem!!
