Okay, gotta share and hopefully pick some brains at the same time. My first sizzle chicks are hatching out as we very speak-- woohoo!!!! I'm anxious to see how these turn out. I have two pens, one with a frizzle roo and silky hens and the other with a silkie roo and frizzle hens. It will be curious to see what if any different results they produce.
But, for the brain picking--- why are the sizzles hatching out earlier than the other eggs in the incubator? Do they develop faster being smaller? Today is actually the "calendar" hatch date, but so far none of the bigger eggs are pipping, while I have about 10 little sizzles already out, and some of them are already dry and fluffed. Just curious.
