***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I hope to be so active in another 20 years.. It is wearing on me as it is. We will make Poops at least for a while (long enough to visit and cook) I have work sunday so will be leaving early for bed.

Carl if I had to do a fraction of what you do with work and chickens, they would have to put me in the ground. You are probable the workingest guy I know. Glad you will be at poops for a bit. Will be good to see you someplace where I dont have to worry about getting home, and have a minute to visit.

Give a proper lesson in chicken math then he will understand, that he has not been counting correctly.

I tried to explain it to him. He just made a face and told me he thinks I'm losing it. He just takes it in stride though. He says we are in this together.

OK we can not have to many more of these "no auction" weekends! I work to hard on the off weekends without an auction to go to, lol. We spent all morning going to the feed store to get feed, cattle panels (had to go to 3 stores to find them in stock, going to build two hoop houses). Then got within 10 miles from home and got the call to pick up chicks. Thank Carl!!! 100% hatch rate this go round!!! Jackson was so excited to see his little cochin babies. Of course while he was mooning over them he pops off and says "well he is always breeding her", I just shook my head and walked away laughing since that did just come out of my 7 year olds mouth, lol.

Of course on the way home from Carl's we find a lawn mower for sale, an old school commercial one. Ours died last summer and so our place hasn't been mowed all spring. Hubby had to come home get the trailer and go back and get the mower. Then of course had to come home and take it for a test mow.

I can't wait for tomorrow we have an all church picnic so no housework for me tomorrow

Hopefully this picture will load here. I tried to send it in a PM but it wouldn't send, good ol' dial up. Here is the basket for the POOPS raffle. There is an oven mit, two pot holders, two kitchen towels with crocheted tops so they are easy to hang from fridge or oven door. 4 of my favorite potscrubbers (MIL made the crocheted items) and a neat set of chicken salt and pepper shakers.
