***OKIES in the BYC III ***

lol! Here's hoping Ms White, the transvestite, is spared her life! lol
Oh (s)he is spared either way if she is female I will keep her and her beautiful bare neck, but if she is a boy Poco has plans to use him genetically too, she just has more use for multiple boys I can only have one more. (that will be shakespear if he is a boy blue barred) so except for those two boys the others have more of a calorie fate then genetic.

Started to thunder a while ago I didn't even know it was suppose to do that and I was standing outside with a lightning rod in my hands, I mean a shovel... it moved on past though as much as I wouldn't mind the rain I hope it holds off through tomorrow, It looks like it will be warmer for POOPS this year, Last year it was a pretty chilly wind blowing it wasn't too bad if you could find a wind block in the sun maybe that's why people keep lining up downwind of me... or it might have been me stalking the food line :)

Not sure how many chicks I will have for tomorrow I got 30 out of my last hatch but gave them over to the 2 broody hens to raise for meat later, I set 115 eggs in the hatcher and can hear lots of cheeping going on I'm trying to resist the temptation to peak but if it turns out well I will have some Buff Orpington day old chicks tomorrow, I'm also setting up some waterers from nipples I got that I can sell or trade I really like the way they work over the regular waterers that get so fouled out too quickly,

Oh Monty, sorry about your birds. Been there, done that and still it makes me very angry. The thing that makes it worse if the non-chalant attitude people have about their animals doing this, like it is no big deal.

How much do you want for the nipple waterers? Or what do you want in trade?

Quote: Actually haven't given it a lot of thought other than it seems like a good idea LOL I think the nipples are worth a couple bucks each a couple on a gallon water about five something like that, I'm sure we can figure out something, I always figure that there are two things that separate us Americans from everyone else is we live by the barter system and we can eat anything on the face of the planet between two pieces of bread....

Just battled another snake! DD & I went down to barn to do some clean up & stupid snake was on top of the brooder!!! It had its head barely stuck in deer netting. The snake got away, made it under the wood floor before I was able to get something to catch it with. I cut lots of netting & bunched it up & stuffed it along the edges of the wall & sprinkled moth flakes everywhere. Also put more netting around & over the brooder stack. Now the netting is so thick around the bottoms he will get way tangled if he makes another attempt (hopefully). Stupid stupid snakes!!!!

I don't think I will ever get caught up reading. This dial up stinks but you all have been a busy bunch the last 24 hours, lol. We are getting ready for POOPS here as well. Deciding what chicks are going and who is staying. Then figuring out if we have room to take puppies in case we can find homes for them. Then get all the stuff loaded (minus the live animals) in the suburban. Next year I am making a rule, hubby can not be gone on POOPS weekend, lol. The kids and I did start a hoop house today. We got up bright and early to work on it. I still need to cover the front with wire and make a door but that will wait until Sunday when hubby is home (wouldn't want him to miss out on ALL the fun now would we? hehe). I still need to work in the garden and help the boys get their stuff gathered for POOPS. Can't wait to see everyone there!
