***OKIES in the BYC III ***

okay, can't catch up on 9 pages right now, but I wanted to say whoever told me this was a OEGB bantam pullet, you were wrong! It's official it crowed today :( Looks like I may have to ship him off with someone going to NEOCS. Mitzi - are you going?

actually it is fun looking at google earth to find peoples houses, you would be suprised what people with time on there hands do for fun!
I have google earthed my house, my gardens are so unusual they are hard to miss from a arial shot, not many people have two octagon shaped gardens! lol

Two bantam frizzle roosters have been donated to the N.E.O.C.S. raffle. One is red and the other is white. I can take photos today and post them if you're looking for bantams. They were donated by a wonderful lady who lives in town and can't keep roosters.

Oh! That is so tempting. I have a cochin roo alread though. I was really hoping for a hen. Still, I might have to buy a raffle ticket.

yup- and you know- mj's don't have a mean streak when they are raising babies at all, growl but no biting..:)
well, i am still getting things together for it too...a table of art, some chicks, EE;s, and some goodies for the raffle... was thinking of some of the laying hens, but i can't do that to them... :)

You are SOOOOO right! These birds growl, but no pecking at all. I've been really lucky and not gotten a mean broody yet. My fake Dominique (suspect she had a LOT of cuckoo marans in her) was a sweetheart. My Dominques have been mostly laid back, a little flighty and spook easily, but don't bite, and these cochins are just giant puffballs of cutness.

Hey MacGyver, I picked up the Blue Americauna boy, Heather has officially named him Azure (blue in Spanish )!!!! And she has talked to him all over town while we ran errands, he is a talkative little boy and so pretty, he will make a great addition to our flock, thanks, Lynn

Haha! I think you mean me, not McGyver :) Azure is an awesome name! I had been calling him Blaze. He'll eat literally anything from your hand, he's a nice baby. I didn't know Ameraucanas got that big at 9 wks, is that typical? My Lavender Ams were supposed to be LF, but the reason I think they're bantam is because the Blue you took is twice their size.

The one in front or the one in the back? Eyeliner and comb suggest a pullet....hmmmm. What are you feeding the little one?
