Guineas are vicious, ungrateful little <expletive deleted>s. Something attacked my guineas two days ago and I found a pile of feathers and two fewer guineas than I had the night before. The remaining ones have wisely started going into the chicken coop with the young cockerels at night. Well, today one of the missing guineas turned up limping but alive. I caught it at sundown and brought it in to examine it. It had no damage to the legs which surprised me. I found two small puncture wounds, one under each wing and put neosporin on them. Then I turned it over and was SHOCKED to see that something had managed to take a huge bite out of its back, but leave most of its feathers intact so that I hadn't noticed it while carrying it into the house. I cleaned it up, and slathered neosporin on it. Upon completion, the guinea promptly BIT ME IN THE FREAKING FACE. Grrrrr. It's in a cage with food and water now. Stupid guinea.
