So, do you "attend" class on the internet or go to a real life location? Class anywhere for 5 hours is

I got two swarms last week. this morning I look in to see what was going on they was drawing comb a good sign maybe they will stay.

Drawing comb is definately a good sign that they are pleased enough to stay around. Are you feeding them so they have enough energy to focus on building comb?
My most recent swarms have stayed put - unlike the first 5 I acquired in April. I have been feeding them sugar water and candy canes, so they can focus on drawing out comb instead of needing to forage for food.

I bought about 50 boxes of candy canes last Spring - when Atwoods clearanced them for 15 cents a box. I have unwrapped them and put them in a bucket hung on the fence close to the hive yard and unwrapped them and put them between frames in a nuc with a swarm. They are a quick and easy source of energy for the bees and don't require much effort on my part.

That is wonderful!!!! We have 3 of them, or at least I think that's the brand we have. I absolutely love them. They keep the chicks nice and warm and safe.

If you decide you don't want to put it together ... let me know & I'll buy it from you so you don't have to worry about where all the parts go

Carla,

Were you one of the ones talking about going to the Chupps auction at Inola on Saturday? If you or anyone else is interested you can go and look at the items for sale except for animals, chickens, etc. at www.chuppsauction.com.

I couldn't remember who I saw talking about it last night.

Donna

I would love to go to Chupps on Saturday, but haven't convinced Gerald that we should. I have another day to work on him

Are you going to go Donna? Have you ever found a mille roo? I still intend to sell one of mine ... and another young mille appears to be a roo now too, I guess he's just a late bloomer.

Carla,

I plan on going but I will have my 2 grandaughters and I'm not sure if I want to wrestle them at an auction. They are 2 and 3 years old. The 3 year old would be yelling to take the critters out of the cages and play. She LOVES our chickens and ducks.

No I haven't found a mille roo and I need one bad. If you come this way to the auction let me know and maybe you could bring it.

I haven't got to go to the auction in several months and I really want to go.

Let me hear from you if you're coming.

Donna

If you've never been to Chupps before it really is alot of fun. Be sure and bring a lawn chair cause it last for most of the day. They are turning sellers away because they have so much stuff this month.

Gerald and I have gone to Chupps twice last year. We enjoyed it, but it's such a long drive for us.

If we go, I'll bring that young mille roo to you Donna.

We really should go and take a bunch of chicks to sell.

It would be fun to see Big Okie and Sooner too.
