Morning everyone! I am off to do what I thought was a 1K fun run/walk this morning. One of the girls I am going with said it is a 5K!!!!

Then off to spend some time with my mom & grandma. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all. Wow what a busy busy few days I have had.
Last week got about 50 chicks hatched out, JG's and bantam Cochins. Got up this morning to peeps from guineas. Not sure if any of the turkeys have started yet, didnt open the incubator for to long.

Went over to Steph and Carl's yesterday helped (more like supervised) build some pens. BOY that woman is a slave driver

. Going to the lumber store today we are gonna build some pens here tomorrow. It sure is a scorcher out there.

Yea on Stimpy's eggs I heard one chirping and then nothing. I have not had very good luck with shipped eggs. I am sticking with local eggs.

Heavens! Last night was a long night. I would have had to get better to die. My temperature got up to 103, I had the worst headache the shivers. Don't know what bit me, but something did. I am beat.

Greetings:

Has anyone used a magnet on a string to sex chicks? I've read about it as an old wives' tale, but the guy at the feed store says it really works.

If you have any information, i.e. size of magnet, length of string, how to hold the chicken when using the magnet, etc., I'd like to hear from you. If it's phony bologna, let me know that too.

good morning again i have had a great morning i have 2 new babby white chineese geese and 3 babby muscovy ducks the only way i know how to sex chicks is by their wing fethers when they are staright they are roosters and if they are jaged they are pullets
