Carla and Gerald, it was nice visiting with you Sat.
Sorry you didn't do better.
Can you tell me the name of the guy you introduced me to, I am getting old and forget everything.
We getting the turkeys trained to go in at night slowly.
you all know I am scared to death of snakes this is what happen to me last night.
Sorry for the cross post.
I think we on the farm are so use to being outside and getting things done, we don't always protect ourselves from nature.
We put the turkeys and chickens up every night because of coons.
We were a little late doing it and I just tossed on sandals and grabbed my broom. For some unknown reasons, turkeys herd better with a broom.
We got the turkeys and chickens put up ad it was dark. I had my broom and my husband broom in my hands and I was playing around using them like walking sticks. When I got past the travel trailer and near the house trailer, I just toss the broom handle out in front of me. Not closes and something strike at the broom. I jumped three foot over the snake and starting screaming. as I run up the steps.
Husband was at the shed and came to see what was going on. His light was weak and he wanted mine. I may not be the brightness light in the county but there was no way I was moving. So,I tossed it to him and run in the trailer and put the dead bolt on.
Yes, I know snakes can't open doors but I didn't even know I done it.
So, I will be wearing boots in evening from now on.
I may be willing to take a coon on in hand to hand combat but I am not staying around to kill a snake of any kind.
