Teach - were you able to find out what kind of cages are available and their price? I am trying to decide whether I need to bring the small trailer. The magic poultry bus will already have some stuff in it from the beekeeper meeting that I will be attending all day. I had planned to load all the beekeeper stuff this evening, but can't seem to bring myself to leave the computer long enough to do anything but smile and type.

My uncle lives in Red Oak. I have kinfolk all around over there. Very quiet and peaceful place. I'll have to give him a call and see what is going on.
Buster, I bet my wife knows some of your family. She had a business in Wilburton for 23 years. Lot of clients from all over, including a bunch from Red Oak.
No doubt. My family has been in and around that area since 1910. My uncle knows just about most of the folks around there, living or dead. We can visit almost any cemetery in the area and he can start rattling off stories, and when we eat out everybody comes by to say hello. My dad and grandparents are buried in Mountain Station.
We have our family reunion at Robbers Cave every other year. Heck, we might be kin. I might be an in-law.

No Monty, remember I live just a few miles from Petes Place.
I live just outside of the big town of Alderson, just east of Krebs.

One of my co-workers had to go there last week and give the employees of our agency information about health insurance choices for the coming year. She brought me back some frozen lasagna and jars of spaghetti sauce from Loverna's grocery store.
My wife shops at Lovera's. It is still an old time little place. Always busy. It's like stepping back in time when you go in.
Hey if you will be on for a few guys, I will trying and post pic of Cruella maybe one of you can claim her as the previous occupent of your hen house.. lol and let me know if I am correct in calling her a EE? There was so much talk during the auction all I caught was hen 4-5 months old (since she was in with a bunch of other chickens)... Set my eyes on her and whola got her...
There is a nice 24 hour restaurant on the S side of OKC that I can recommend. It is Perry's Restaurant and Pancake House. Excellent food for an all night joint, and large hand-made rolls. It's just off I-44, I-240 and May Avenue. Gerald and I sometimes go there after the Blanchard auction, even though it's another 15 miles out of our way. I think they might even have a room they could put a large crowd in ????

There are always pens for sale at Blanchard... sometimes by themselves, sometimes after the critters in them have been sold. It is up to the seller. I bought several of my cages there.

I want to see her! I'm glad she has a friendly personality - my two white EEs are flightier than my brown leghorn...I wonder if they have white leghorn in them, since they are slim like that breed. They have the colored legs and the muffs and beards. One lays a light green egg and the other a light blue egg. But they're not friendly.
