Most of the silkies hatching are from our partridge pen, but we do have blue & black too. My white silkies have slowed down on laying.

Carla: I know you and Gerald just got back from Las Vegas. Sue and I have been there three times, and every time that we got home I developed bronchitis or very bad sinus problems. The weather there or being around that many people and the slot machines don't agree with my resp. health.

I was wondering if we caught that virus in Vegas ... what about their saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". I sure didn't want to take that back to Oklahoma with me!

That does it .... I'm not going back!

I never thought I would ever go there. Sue had a convention there, is how I ever ended up there to begin with. Ended up going two more times over the years. Got to admit, as tight as I am, we had fun. If I didn't come back with the breathing problems, I would like to go back again.

Yeah, we had a great time too. We rode the monorail quite a bit and really enjoyed all the sights & lights. We aren't much for gambling though. We also took a guided tour of the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. It was awesome! I told Gerald that we should go back for our 50th wedding anniversary ... but we're already 49 & 50, so we might be a bit too old in 50 years to enjoy it.

Hi Monty! We haven't seen you around much lately. I myself am home sick. I could have been at work sick, but I decided to spare my coworkers.

Yeah, I've only driven by the Expo Center, and I don't think there are any restaurants near it either. I need to ask Gerald if he can remember any of the names of the restaurants along there. He lived in Shawnee 2 years ago. I know there's a Mexican restaurant that he really likes.

Sorry to hear you are sick. I have been fighting the same kind of crud. Congestion and coughing. I haven't been on much lately. We have been out hunting the last two weekends and busy with all the guests for Thanksgiving. Plus trying to get stuff done around here.

Yeah, I think there's a lot of viruses going around now, especially for the Holidays. I just hate it when I can't breathe through my nose and the marathon sneezing is a bit inconvenient too. I can't say as I like any of the cold symptoms I'm experiencing. It would be nice to get a good night's sleep. But, thankfully, I don't have any major health problems that would complicate things. I just hope I haven't done any of the spreading of the virus. I'm trying to stay away from everyone so that nobody else will catch this from me.

Well, I'm all for going to wherever in Shawnee to meet, if we can get a group to agree & show up. I have my fingers crossed that I won't be forced to work overtime then.
