Yellow Golden breeding pair- 2yrs old 65.00 for both

Quail

Cortunix Quail / Pharaoh - All adults.. about 100 of them $ 2 a piece

This delightful bird is famous for its fast maturity and egg production. They mature at around 6 weeks and is usually laying eggs by the 8th week and often sooner. These birds have a "tame" outlook to them and won't spook as easily as most quail do. I can reach into these pens and pick up these birds with no trouble at all. Many people use this type for pets as well as for meat production. With their excellent egg laying and fertility rate its easy to raise multiple amounts of them in one season. I often use the eggs for pickling purposes and they taste great (depending on your recipe).

Chickens

I have about 30 chix more than half of them are hens. Buff Cochins, Black Langshans, Rhode Island Reds.. ect... Selling all as one for $250.

Equipment

I have two GQF Incubators --- turning trays... egg trays.. thermostats.. just plug and hatch.. New hinges.. latches.. everything pretty much..will even throw in egg trays various sizes.. $350 a piece

Ostrich/Emu Incubator - State of the Art Incubator that just needs a new thermostat. Could convert it to an chix egg or other type of incubator... Won't find this cheaper anywhere else. For more information please contact Clayton at 580-564-5071 for details

Stainless Steel Cage/Brooder - $350 cage has 4 compartments, easy pull out trays for cleaning

You can call me at HM # 918-246-9181 or my Cell # 405-255-1311 Thanks - Christie

WARNING: Soapbox Message Coming

Dear fellow members of our "Okies in the BYC" thread,

This is a follow up and a reminder to each of us concerning following the rules set forth by BYC which we are a part of.

A month or so ago our thread, which is the largest in the whole BYC world was shut down for a rules violation. It wasn't a warning! We had been warned previously and had had our thread locked briefly then.
This time it was for good. I was out of town and my friend Al ,stepped in, put his neck on the line and contacted Niftychicken about getting the thread restored. Although against his better judgement at the time, he told Al he would have the thread reopened but under the conditions that we would have to monitor ourselves and make sure we stayed within the guidelines set forth by BYC.
Al and I have tried to do that without being too heavy handed or assuming the role of dictators. We have dropped casual posts when anything looked like it might cause a potential firestorm and have posted reminders at times we felt it necessary,
I recently spoke with Nifty about our thread since I had heard that when threads got too big to manage effectively the moderators could close them as a matter of housekeeping and control. I also asked him if he thought our thread should be moved to the Random Ramblings since we cover just about every topic in our group.
He told me that "moving would not really change anything since we would still have to abide by the rules no matter where we were listed." He also said that as long as we were moderating our own thread and if the BYC moderators weren't having to spend too much time doing it then there would be no reason to step in.
He added that "the Okie thread is what BYC iss all about" and he "didn't want to do anything to hurt it, but would step in if he had to."
It would take just a few misguided posts to get the thread closed so please be mindful of that as you post.
I am saying all of this to remind each one of us, myself included that we have to be mindful of what we say and how we act while we are on here.
If you have something you want to say about something but know it shouldn't be posted on the board then please do so in a PM. Even then be courteous and polite.
I know people don't like being told what to do and how to do it, but I won't hesitate to say something if things start straying out of line.
I started this thread but in no way do I take the credit for it being what it has become. It is OUR thread. It has become the best because of ALL the fine people that are on here doing what it takes to make it the best.
I am not asking that everyone jump in and stop a topic when it seems wrong. That could cause chaos. When I say moderate it ourselves, I mean by what we say and how we say it when we post. not by attacking someone for their post.
If you have an issue with a post try and handle it politely and consideratly with a PM.
I will try and stay on top of things as I can but I won't always be here so I have asked a few people that are here almost daily to help me try and keep things going forward according to the guidelines we agreed to when we joined.
I hope I haven't offended anyone, I am just doing what I can to remind us all of what needs to be done when we are here.
Sincerely,
Monty (Buckguy)

I need to add that nothing has happened in the last few days to warrant this but this is something that has needed to be addressed since I talked to Nifty a few weeks ago.
It is not for anyone in particular but for all of us.
I should have posted it sooner but being the procrastinator that I am it took me awhile.

Faerie - I think Monty should just go ahead and put pink stickers with sparkles all over the bator your foo foo eggs are in and just make it the official Foo Foo Hatcher. Hmmm...I wonder if there would be a market for "Bedazzled Bators"?

Teach - you leave a trail of sparkles wherever you go already...

Heh. I set myself a reminder thingy up with gmail so I know when they're supposed to go into lockdown and all that noise. J says that if they don't hatch, he's gonna have to find some silkies to buy me so I'll stop lusting after them so much.

I just told him that means he'll have to help me build another coop. He sighed. Rather loudly
