Here are the two boys that we got from Carla the other night. The dark one is a blue and the other one is a splash. Haven't gotten pics of the hen yet, she looks as incredible as the boys do.
We use to decorate some but it was only for ourselfs as there isn't anyone that actually see's our house except the two neighbors that live past us. I haven't done it in a couple of years.
The inside is decorated all over the place. I actually have more stuff than I have room to put up.
County-yes, they have done blood work, urinalysis, and ultrasound along with a trip to the emergency room. Still a mystery. What do they think you have, if you don't mind answering? P&B has a good idea with the honey instead of sugar in the horchata or even some agave nectar. There are different recipes for horchata, some with almonds and vanilla etc. Look up one that you like on the internet and that will help with prep and ingredient proportions. It does involve some blending and straining. For just trying it out I would look at the store or restaurant, just make sure and ask if it is a mix or fresh.

I had an episode after we had all the rain in October with some respiratory stuff. I isolated the sickies and treated them and then the whole flock. Everything is looking good now. (Knocking on Wood)
We had a chicken keel over and die the other day have no idea why... Considering the other ones are all still alive and kicking... this was one of the chicks that my dd won in the kids raffle, this one was cool as it had no comb growing.lol we were quite bummed and surprized... jason said he spotted what appeared like meaty red bloody poop in the box? but had never seen that before... I thought maybe worms? but again all the other chicks from that raffle are doing really great..
Well I'm about to head home from work. Then I have to get Lauren ready for "Hot Shots." Jordan's game starts at 5:30 and Lauren has to be there by 6:30. I probably won't be home until 9:00 tonight. It looks like I won't be getting any good ole fried chicken for dinner tonight, it will probably be a burger and chips at the gym. At least it is a made fresh to order and no premade fast food burger. I start the new job in the morning, so I don't know when I'll be back on. I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays out of trouble. All you hunters need to be careful this weekend and next weekend. I'd hate to hear of anyone getting hurt out there.
Les - WOW! Those are beautiful! And I'm not really even a NN fan. Carla and Gerald have awesome birds.
Sooner - I still decorate the outside of my parent's house for them. Lol. I remember climbing on the roof to help when I was 5 or 6 to 'help' hang up lights. Its just something I've always looked forward too. Although now I'm terrified to be on the roof. A couple years ago I was 'stuck' up there for about half an hour, because I was too scared to try to come down. Lol
ke_ben - Ok thank you for the info! Now I'm craving it, and I've never had it. Lol. Have they done a catscan? My ultrasound came back normal, but they said it won't show the things a catscan will. I know that sometime with chronic pancreatitis the blood work can even come back normal.
barnswallow - Sorry about your poor chickie.
That is very strange. Maybe it just had a freak heartattack or something?
smfamf - Sounds like you've got a busy day ahead of you!
Drinking another cup of Soy Milk, that stuff is yummy!
Is there anyone that might be coming my way with some eggs? Looks like I will be eating alot of them, wish my hens were laying.

My Blue NN from Jimhappy stock, via Grace, is neat looking but he's got red showing in the feathering on his head. The blue pullet is pretty though, she's not glossy more of a matte light blue coloration.

I'll PM you later for more info but the ER doc suggested a catscan after the HIDA? but her doc hasn't got to that yet, waiting on insurance to approve test. Soymilk eggnog? You know someone has already thought that up I'm sure.
