My notebook. LOL

No what I do is to look up sites like Tractor Supply or First State vet Supply and then find the meds I want to look at. Usually it will give the dosages and for how long and then sometimes I go to the Merck Vet Manual online to verify that or find other drugs that are used for the same thing.

what I am most impressed with is that you seem to have a mixture of "cut and paste" information as well as information in your own words.

Some of my best discoveries have come about when I was bored late at night.

When AVG does a virus scan on Teva's computer it takes maybe 30 minutes. This computer, four hours. I have a lot of stuff on here.

Really need to learn to use one of those zip drive thingys.

Sometimes information is just way too long and drawn out. I like to simplify things where I can. When someone has a bird that is sick they just don't need the hassle of trying to understand something complicated.

I can relate to that NN. I have the same problem with all the stuff I save from YOU! I do my best to search on here for information but sometimes if you don't put in the correct combination of words you don't get what you need.

You know you could just copy you notebook (& ship to me) and save yourself some time, LOL.

I have thought about making a personal page but some of the places I get my info from has a forum so I couldn't list them per BYC rules. And it's not just here but all forums I go to have basically the same rules.

The thing about doing a search is spelling, if just one letter is wrong it will take you in a direction that you may not want to go. Looking up diseases by symptoms is rough too as most poultry diseases have a lot of the same symptoms. It can take hours of reading to finally pick out the subtle difference that fits your bird's illness.

I wish there would have been forums like this when we started keeping poultry. This makes getting info so much easier.

Oh my goodness! We were just watching Conan O'Brian and he said he is becoming the new Oprah. So his new recommendation was 'The Extraordinary Chickens'. My husband kept rewinding it and I was telling him the names of the chickens. They were beautiful! They had a frizzle, silkie, cuckoo maran, and many more. I just couldn't believe it, of course he was making fun, but I was like those are some beautiful chickens.

A long way from me. You might check the Oklahoma Wildlife Department website and see what public hunting or game management units are in that area.

Stimpy, You guys have come a long way in the evolution of deer camps.

A TV in deer camp? Who would have ever thought that?
I remember the first time we had a mobile phone at our Colorado deer camp. We were really uptown.
Before that we had to drive 40 miles to use a telephone to call home and check in. Never managed a TV though.
We had running water. You had to run down to the creek to get it.
We also had a nice two holer outhouse.
The closest we got to having electricity was when lightning struck a huge pine tree close to the cabin. And when I say cabin, I mean cabin.
Anyway glad you had a great time. Like you said it is all about making the memories.

Monty,

When I say "cabin", I mean cabin too. It just happens to have central heat and air, satellite TV, and a full kitchen and bathroom. Yeah, I know it isn't really a deer camp, but I ain't really going there to hunt deer.
