If the one hole cages you are getting from Teach are like the ones I have gotten from him in the past, they should easily hold 20 chickens each - that are on their way to be processed. If it is like the 2 hole cages I have gotten from Teach, one two hole cage should hold all 40 chickens - they will be standing room only - but since you aren't taking them to the show, they should be fine.

Fairie, I suspect you don't want to haul cages from OKC, but if you get desperate, I have some you could borrow. They aren't the ones like I got from Teach (those all hold rabbits currently) but you are welcome to them. I have some that are wire and some that are hard plastic.

Good Freaking Morning Everyone!
Oh man was it cold getting out to head to work. Of course one of my gloves got a big hole in it so I thought my skin was going to freeze off. Oh I am so excited for the Shawnee poultry auction. Been saving up my casino winnings and surprisingly enough I have quite a bit saved up and man is it burning a hole in my pocket.
Well I better get to work.

Ouch! Shidalgo thats terrible. Hydrocodone does wonders,at least till you get addicted to it!Thats what they put me on. Have one plate sliding off the other,bone against bone pushing the nerve!Now I am embarassed everytime I read the paper or watch the local news and they talk about all the arrest for buying,selling and mis appropriation of hydrocodone prescs.I feel like I'm one of the junkies!

How terrible,I found a hawk in one of my pens this morning.

It appears to have died from aheart attack,or blunt froce trauma!

So sad I will give it proper burial in the trash can. Poor bird!

Well my new turkne roo got the worst end of the fight with the aseel!

Now I'm trying to dr him and keep him alive!

Good morning fellow chickens and roo's.

Currently running about 18 down here in my neck of the woods although for my family in CO I am sure they are really freezing there!.
Mia seems fine after yesterdays injury incident so we will be letting her back outside with the other geese today, not sure if it was the pallets that we found her trapped in or if a dog tried to get her.. Our GP normally leaves them alone because he is afraid of them since they go after to bit him but then again anything is possible and then there is these neighbor dogs that keep coming into our yard that our GP goes after

I am just glad she is doing good.

How are you all doing with the animals in this cold weather?

Mornin everyone woke up to 11 degree weather with the windchill at 0!!! We had some light snow but nothing to brag about.

Teach, how many of them there cages are you wantin to get rid of????? I need some of dem dere cages!!!! Just a few more days and POOF Shawnee, I still am not ready I still have a bird to wash tonight looks like he is going to get to spend the night inside tonight because I dont think that it would be a good idea to give him a bath and then dry him and then put him back outside so he can spend the night in the house in my daughters room since it is her chicken to be shown!!! Well enough rambeling for me hope everyone has a great day!!!!!

I am at work! Guess what the heated cookie tin's don't work if you don't plug them in! LOL, went out this morning and three of the 4 were frozen, so after some looking I figured out the main plug that feeds them all was unplugged. I will find out when I go home if it is warm enough to thaw them.

it is a wonderful 19 here, with wind chill of 3!!! Surprisingly I did okay this morning and didn't freeze!

Fairer, would you share the information about how long it takes to get your appt. also how long from drop off to pick up. I am considering raising some meat birds sometime down the line.
