You call it Rythm Gymnastics I call it wierd! Looks like something that was invented for the kids that couldn't run and flip and still wanted an I participated medal...

I did so badly though to be good at the balance beam, but alas I run better and land harder with the vault... but none of the gymnastics I did do anything for my highschool career of Tennis... LOL To which I lettered in

My future champion was a bit more obscure. I lost to JB Williamson (future world light-heavyweight champion) in the finals of the All Marine Trials. I don't remember much about it, though. It didn't last all that long and I was a bit woozy for a while afterward.

If I weighed just 8 pounds heavier, I could have lost to someone really famous... Leon Spinks, who would one day beat Muhammad Ali.

I help with a charity event in Tulsa every year. I have had the pleasure of meeting Leon Spinks several years in a row and the first year I met Ali. Every year they have different celebrities, but for several years in a row Leon Spinks, Larry Holmes, and another one (don't remember). But they also normally have some other celebrities from TV or just other really famous sport athletes, like Dennis Rodman (what a piece of work, attitude wise. I was at the table next to him.), a guy from 'Cheers' I think his name was George/Henry or something on the show, he sat the bar ea episode really nice guy in person, Mickey somebody (I am sure all of you would know who it was, I just don't remember anybodies names, including celebs). The charity event is Tulsa Charity Fight night, I always have lots of fun! Although, I really am not into boxing.

I love boxing! Not really into the UFC and such...too much rolling around. I like to watch folks hit each other...it is like art...I am fascinated by people that can draw...mainly cuz i can't. I can't box either...tried...not a sport where failing is a learning experience...it just hurts..

Interesting I don't remember that one, but then in HS a girl jumped me from behind and whooped that girl and never set my books down. She was pulled away by the teacher w/no shirt and a big belly ache. Otherwise, I think that are my only two fights ever. Now I was taught though, "don't ever throw the first punch, but you had better be the last one".

(edited to add) I agree about the pain part, I just don't get that part of the sport.
