I think it's time to cuddle a chicken.

Called the 2nd boss at the retail place, told her that my daughter's father booked her flight for 1015am tomorrow for her "Christmas visitation". I'm supposed to work 9am-3pm. He knows this. He did it on purpose, some people are just like that. So I call her, tell her, she gets crappy with me. Like I could prevent it. Told her that the earliest I could be there was 11am, if the flight leaves on time. She's pretty angry right now. Maybe I should have just quit.

So I'm gonna go cuddle the remaining silkies. Oh, and contemplate the Partridge Rock eggs I'm gonna set this afternoon.

You have more patience then I do. Getting POed at bosses is the main reason I know how to do so many things. In my young days I never held a job very long. But there were more jobs out there too, not like now.

Afternoon everyone just got back from the auction, my son and I had a blast!! We came back with a decent load of birds I bought a trio of Light Brahma Bantams, and some Black Tail Japs so if anyone needs any Black Tail Jap hens let me know I have 11 and 1 roo so I am needing another rooster!! Hope everyone is staying warm.

Ok, question. I know I could probably google search my answer to this... but is a partridge rock related to a white rock in another other than name? Does it have the same characteristics, etc?

I love colored birds, so I know that getting actual white rocks probably isn't gonna happen. But I chanced upon some partridge rock eggs after J expressed an interest in them from the Shawnee show, and J is enthusiastic about me trying to hatch these. I know they are supposed to be relatively docile, but what is relative to relatively?

Rock is the breed and white, partrige and columbian etc. is the variety or color. Body type and all that is the same but a lot depends on the breeder too and their idea of what the breed should be like.

Does clearing out ones own digital photo album count as decluttering? I havent moved much in the physical tossing out stuff yet, since I got distracted with pictures on my computer and began to delete... of course not before I was cooing over the pics from when all our fur and feathered babies were literally babies..

Hey Okes

Just gave my guitar new srtings and a tune-up....now I have to do the 12-string....Been a long time since I have put strings on my 12-string..... It starts looking like spaghetti after awhile... tomorrow is the big day... the girl who is singing with me has a sore throat....

I threatened her with injury...need the harmony line...sounds so much richer that way.....

Got a new hen from a guy at Mike's work. His mother in law has raised it from a peep in the house.

Don't know if it will handle the transition to outside. It's POL now and a gorgeous silky of some sort... going to post pics of her later. BUt she's fat and sassy... and spoiled....
