Evening Q,Hows the icubating going? I set one up today to hatch some button quail (also put in a few chicken eggs) It seems to be holding the right temp but it shuts on and off every few minutes. I would think it would hold the heat better and not have to kick off an on like that.It does have a window top.
Howdy new comer. I'm one of the outastate Okies. Your OEGs look pretty nice. I have a pair of Mille fleure OE That I am really proud of. I picked them up in Adton last summer.

Big Okie you made my night with that magical NUmber!!!

Okladoodle I candeled some eggs tonight, this is day 11 I am hoping that I have a good first hatch!! I have had a couple of days of seeing the temp at 103 but nothing higher, and the humidity has only dropped to 30% a couple of times so I have a pretty good feeling so far!!

Don't think the eggs in the incubator are gonna make it. Having a very hard time keeping the humidity up... the water basin is full, have two soaked socks in there, and humidity is still sitting at 21%. I also have a humidifier in the room too.

Q does yours click off and on all the time. I am wondering if the wafer is bad in this one,I know its several years old although not used much.I guess as long as the temp stays the same its ok.


Faert--- I guess we can let him off the hook this time. He is going to have to get those pryorites straightened out out tho! I mean national defense and doing things with a parent or a chicken auction!Maybe he will come around to our way of thinking eventually,keep working on him!LOl

I was paranoid and tested it twice before I used it in this batch

Mainly because humidity was too high in my last hatch, when I got 12 out of 42 and they were all gummy/sticky when they hatched.
