Basic stuff... I don't have much in the way of building materials. I've got a list of stuff I need for the shed, but still debating whether or not I can make actual runs for the chickens too.

I'm apparently easily confused too. Half tempted to go sit in a corner with a dunce hat on.

I'm not sure where you are located, but we are supposed to have some building material at the auction this weekend to sell. Hughes and Stillwater Building Center bring extra materials out for us to sell. Sometimes it's lumber, plywood, sheetrock, shingles, nails, etc. Just FYI....

I know I'm way behind.

But Al, you are dead right about the "majority" of Dallas FANS. Whine and complain and point fingers when losing and the next week become the biggest chest thumpers and trash talkers out there. I'm behind my team through thick and thin.

Al, I buy raw milk ALL the time from a dairy that even puts it in the plastic milk jug. It is own by a USDA inspector and her husband plus she a VET. They have windows that you see into every aspect of the milking parlor and bottling room from start to finished. It is then place in big units so it kept chilled to the right temp. You walk in sign the book and say who many gallons your buying (for us it usually 6 gallons but in the summer it goes higher for ice cream). You then put $3 per gallon in the mail slot, get your milk and your done. It is Jersey milk and over a 1/3 of the gallon is the best cream you can find. Some times it half cream and half milk. I drive to Tuff City to get it which is about an hour and half drive. I pick up for two families besides us. The other chip in for gas.. I am going this week. Any time I headed for Fairland or anyplace up past Grove I head to the dairy on the way home. It will stay fresher longer then the processed milk in the ice box and it sure is better for you.

Actually, raw milk doesn't really "spoil" as pasturized milk does. I set some out at room temperature until it clabbers, then separate whey from curd (strain through a cloth) and use the whey as a preservative in making REAL saurkraute. The enzymes are very healthy. (You shouldn't heat it...that destroys the health benefit.

Where is Tuff City?

Hello all!!!!!!

I took a break from building fence and planning another coop for the wife.
It is such a beautiful day the Lord has given us so I was trying to enjoy the outdoors a while.
Renia makes a great "buck hash" that I would give my "I" teeth for a plate of right now. BTW, she sprinkles
garlic on her mashed potatoes, Man are they delicious. As for me, I pepper everything or put
Old Bay seafood seasoning on everything except Jello.
If the wife knew I was on here she would be sitting beside me telling me what to write. I've
got more to do outside so I had better get to it. Hope all have a fantastic day. May God Bless All.

Actually I think that it was suppose to be Tiff City it is a small town near the Missouri Oklahoma border.

Sorry, Andrew took over while I was working.

How is everyone doing today? I am tired. For some reason I didn't sleep well last night.

I made some zucchini bread and deer jerky last night. Started a few roasts this morning before work. It smells really good in my house now. I am starving.

You just jinxed yourself. Now it's gonna happen for sure!

And it seems that I always get my worst colds and such in the summer.

I think everyone is over it.
I am ready for some normalcy (my quiet time)
Kids were out of school today and the DW was off for MLK Day.
Jenna starts back to college on Wed. Jared goes back tomorrow and DW goes back to work.
I get more done when I am home alone.
Of course its the stuff I want to get done, not what someone else wants done.
