Okies in the BYC The Original

We already lost power once this morning for about 15 minutes, and this thing has just started to freeze up. That is not a good sign.

DW is at work (I'm off sick) at the police department and reports that towns all around the area are starting to report power outages. Her work will be sending all non-essential personnel home at noon. I expect to lose power any time now. Have all the critters battened down, big piles of wood under the porch for the insert, and the generator on the front porch ready for action. In case I lose power and don't get back on here for the next couple of days...

Oh man, I just clicked on y'alls thread and first thing I see is a generator not working!!

Nah, it's my own fault for waiting until the last minute to check it. Satanica and I can hole up with the propane heaters for awhile. I'm sure I can sleep thru a power outage if I try.

Jim : So the lights are flickering out your way, I hope thats not a bad sign for all of us that live in little podunksvilles throught the southwest. I am expecting the same as you for all H3ll to break loose anytime now, I have my camp stove ready and the ole gal is thawing some chicken, fried chicken around a lantern and kerosene heater now thats cool.
