Mornin' Okies. Would have posted my daily early good morning... but for some reason the internet didn't work on my laptop at home when I woke up. I didn't have time to diagnose it. I hope it's working by the time J gets up... today's his birthday and he will be upset if he can't play WoW most of the day...

well ones luck is anothers dispair......I was coming home last night from home depot.....got to mile marker 164 going east and my transmission decides it had to go out. I had no warnings "no hey we are having problems in sector 6 tranny area" just alous whine and there she blows.....so I walked the 2 miles to Loves and had to call a nieghbor to come get me.
Now if anyone sees a guy heading east bound wearing a everlast black coat please pick me up next time it was cold...lol

Faerilady - that is a very pretty shawl pattern. The colors you described sound like they will coordinate with anything you are wearing.

BarnSwallow - the next storm system is supposed to come through tomorrow - I see where OKC is no longer predicted to get any snow. Hope they are right.

McAllen - I agree that frozen mud is the only benefit to this really cold weather. My boots don't require extensive cleaning after I have been outside.

mornin all....poor hoodoo!! we had a tranny go, but with warning, its so dang expensive we could finance a new car easier than pay for gettin a tranny fixed...go figure!

hey fairie, that is a beautiful pattern, would it be easy for a beginner to do? i crochet but am super beginner with knitting

its just toooo cold out there, but at least its not two feet a snow

Heh. That's about how I feel. But hey, he likes it, and it's cheaper than other things he could be interested in (when he has stuff to build, like headboards/bunk beds/home improvement projects, it gets expensive fast!).

The whole thing is really simple... just follow the directions. Oh, and lace *always* looks like a crinkled up blob until it's blocked at the end, which evens out the stitches and such.
