Need to get rid of 2 of my 4 MFC cockerels. They are the noisier two, and I'm supposed to be on the down-low. They are free, they just need to GO.

Not looking to buy any more, except maybe a brown egg layer that lays nice big eggs consistently (like Lucky the black star does).

Will be collecting and hatching MFC chicks for the gathering on May Day. Might bring some MFC eggs if I have any.

I need to buy a MFC roo or sale my hen....

Michael, do you go to Mary's swap meet? I may be able to bring you one this Saturday... I wouldn't get there til around 9:30am though.

Lemme know what's going on... I'm free Friday evening, until 4 on Sat (not going to Fletcher, dangit) and Sunday. I really need this roo gone, and I'd prefer he go to somebody who wants a MFC cockerel and not dinner.

Bringing to POOPS: eggs/chicks/started birds in the following standard breeds
Barnevelder, Creme Brabanter, Speckled Sussex, Light Brahma, and miscellaneous LF
(I'll probably have some super-cute Ameraucanas crosses, too)

Wasn't one of the new folks looking for Barnvelders earlier this week?

If you want us to be more familiar with your screen name, you need to start posting more often - otherwise we won't recall that "ChickenFlavoredCook-E" is the other adult half of BarnSwallow's family.

It looks like someone is really wishful thinking. They don't even say what color the eggs are supposed to be. I guess it doesn't hurt to see if someone has $600 to throw around for a handful of copper maran hens and roos.

I watched the men's team this evening - I had never watched curling before. Looks like a lot of strategy is involved.
Stimp - were you a sweeper or the fellow that starts the rock down the path to the goal?

The roo is such a sweetie, so sweet he lets everybody pick on him. The hens were also picking on him when I added them to my group. The hen unfortunately was carried away by something. We still don't know by what, so now I am going to need to get more hens. In fact, I probably should get a few. However, I am trying to fight the urge to go to another auction and getting more for the moment. There are lots of building of coops and pens before I want to add more, to try and make safer/predator proof facilities. I have one large coop that is working great and another one that needs some work on and another one started (it will have sections to it). Then I want to build a larger one with sections, that will have a brooding room in it, along with a grow out section. All will have outside yard/pens.
