Gees.........that'll teach me to check this thing
more often....LOL Have been sitting here for
two hours trying to catch up....LOL

Got our first hatch off (not a very good one)
and they're in the clear plastic box with
their light in the livingroom floor. We just
tell everyone that comes by, this effort
is more productive than a fish acquarium.....
Another round due this weekend.

Yes, it's beautiful today. We're ready for
this to be the norm instead of a blip mid-
week. Nope, I ain't sayin' squat about
the almanac........but.......am afraid we've
got one more to go.....then should be
done with it. Am ready for "El-whatever"
to move back into it's normal position.......

Have a "beautiful" one !!!!

Well for some reason, we lost power today. So we decided to spend the day outside. What started with just collecting eggs and checking the birds, turned into a full-fledged coop clean-out. We scraped, cleaned and moved the quail hut. We cleaned the big coop and even drilled drain holes in the floor. We decided to use the water hose and spray everything out of that coop. We locked the roosters out of the little coop and let the Silkies and Seramas run free in there. We cleaned their brooder box out. That just leaves the little coop being the only one not getting cleaned today. I will have to get some more bedding before I can clean it out. It takes about 6 bags of pellets to cover the floor in there and I just don't have them on hand right now. I will have to pick some up when I go to town tomorrow and clean it out this weekend. Luckily it only takes about an hour to clean, because my weekend looks pretty packed right now.
