It is snowing but the temperature is still 32 degrees, so hopefully it won't stay on the ground all day. It looks like over an inch of accumulation on the solid surfaces, from the what I can see out the window

Finally got a clear picture of the babies in my other brooder. RIR and Black Australorp. These guys are about a week old. The Australorp feathered amazingly fast. Anyone know if the Australorps make good mommies? I think I managed to hatch mostly pullets this time.

OK I have a question. How do you change your saying under your avatar if you are a GFM? I have been looking through the site and can not find directions on how to do it.
So here are the choices I have narrowed down. Maybe you guys could help me pick which best fits. "Got Peacocks?" or "Auctions are for Nachos, Yum!" I am leaning towards the first one, cuz you all know it is getting about that time for me to be looking for peafowl.

Oh that reminds me, speaking of peafowl, I need to add that to my wish list. Looking for a pair of white peafowl, I need a pied spaulding female, and a variety of other peafowl. Since I free range my birds, they have to be young when I get them so they know where home is and do not wander off. My goal is to have a total of 6 or 8 strutting around the yard. "Cuz you all know nothing says class like having peafowl struttin around the mobile home."

Aside from the nail on a string (which did not accurately sex the peacock I have now) what are the ways to tell the difference between male and female peafowl when they are young? Also do male peacocks fight like chickens?

Good Morning Okies,
Working on my 2nd cup of coffee this morning. Birthday parties kick my tail. Had a good turnout. 12 showed up for Hotdogs, Hotlinks, Pasta salad and chips. Then we had Pecan Pie and Birthday cake... Montana is still sleeping it off.

TGIF! Looking forward to being at Blanchard tomorrow Night! I will have to remember to take that spasm pill that keeps your hand from flying up when there are chickens on the auction block.

No Snow when I woke up and suppose to be atleast 42 today. Already 37 here this morning ... That is a good sign.
