I'm not sure I understand your post - are you saying you're wanting everything to go through the auction instead of letting people post or know what they have or are looking for?

Do you have an idea yet of what time the auction might be?

My boys made frosty 4wheel'in.

I don't have a list of wants really I just want. I could use some hatching eggs.

I will want Speckled sussex if mine don't hatch but I'm sure they will.

I have no idea what I will bring........I'm thinking out loud huh?

Could you avoid wounds if you hand basted the layers together with a long running stitch before machine stitching?

Why do you have to be so smart! LOL!!

I have basted them together on the simpler, flatter parts, but with the heavy duty fabric reinforcer and several layers of fabric, plus at the handles there is heavy nylon webbing covered in fabric...you get the idea--I couldn't get a needle through all of that if I tried!

Sounds like they are exceptionally sturdy..... and that it would take a large curved darning needle and a pair of pliers to try and hand baste them. Maybe you could wear gloves to avoid being pricked by the pins?

No not at all, I will be posting a list of what will be at POOPS regardless of the method of sale, but I am not including the persons name who is bringing them, so as to avoid premature sale before hand. Previous list were posted with names and birds were sold prior to POOPS and then those wanting some of a particular bird were left without options.

The auctions will be held after Lunch but before the raffle.

I especially adore well mannered kids. The last Blanchard auction I had a kid run by our reserved POOPS table and injured my knee--the knee I had surgery on--I was in so much pain that I relocated behind the auctioneer in the livestock run! No kids to bang into me! Several people had been crashed in to by this kid, (and several other kidss) to the point of almost being knocked down. I like kids fine, but it seems like Blanchard has a real problem on it's hands with out of control kids. There were even kids in the parking lot crawling in and UNDER trucks---I shudder to think what could happen in that dark parking lot. Some of the parents don't even care that their kids are running wild thru the auction floor. I don't know about you guys, but I raised my kids better than that! And BarnSwallow I think your kids were the best mannered kids there...and sweet to boot!

I think I remember the kid that you speak of... He was bullying little kids and my son had to hollar at him to be nice.. Austin doesnt like bully's and it upsets him immensly as it should anyone for that matter..

HOLLERING AT AL: Is it possible to swing you these Turkey eggs to get them hatched out... if they will even hatch out? or Doc&Peaches maybe... We dont have a bator

I will be setting eggs probably wednesday.. If you would like for me too, I will try to hatch them with this hatch. Just let me know

Good evening everyone.

We had a fun evening. We took the guns out in the pasture, to the canyon, and unloaded some lead on some undeserving peices of wood. It was about time to set the sights on the shotguns. They belonged to my FIL. We just now got the chance to play with them.

One of the MFC ladies regularly hatched out chicks this way because she didn't have a 'bator. She's awesome, and really funny. I don't have enough "assets" to do it.

So far I have about 16 of my Bantam Cochin Eggs to hatch.... They are cute chicks. I had 4 of them to die for some reason.

Jeannie, I will be setting some eggs again on Wednesday, If you would like, we could put them turkey eggs in with my duck eggs and see if they are fertile and will hatch.

I gave the Frizzle Cochin that I bought at the Sale saturday A bath.. First time for me to ever give a chicken a bath. Funny thing, the little S%#T layed down in the sink while I gave him a bath and went to sleep on me. Then of all things I got the Blowdryer out and he fell asleep on the floor while I blowed him dry... Crazy!

I am hatching for poops... I will be running incubators the next Month and will be bringing everything to poops. I will have quail, ducks, and chickens of all kinds.

finally checking in...redid the run cover that the snow brought down, just too pretty to be inside

hey peaches, here's a good shot of your girl...
