I feed Red River Grain layer pellets. At 20% protein, the cost of $9.75 per bag is great.

Dandelion007 where do you get the Red River feed?

Ronnie hope you are feeling better soon.

Happy Birthday Al

Made the long awaited stop at the Sand springs attwoods today to check on chicks. Was disiapointed, only a few bantams, couple os pasty butt silkies and some solid white chicks I couldn't identify or tell the sex of. There were about 6 golden laced wyandotte standards That really tempted me,the rest looked like barred rocks and new hampshires. So i guess I'll make the trip back to Tn. empty-handed.Enjoyed the snow yesterday but it was sure cold.

Teach how many breeds of bantams do you have?

Okiemommy - Red River Grain is carried by Cross Brand feed, located at NE 63rd and I 35 in Oklahoma City. As I recall, it was about 50 cents more per bag than what Dandelion pays, but still less expensive than Purina

Red River Grain is packaged in Kingston which is only a few miles away. The increased cost is probably transportation costs.

Dachsunds, I have Peachfaced lovebirds (several different mutations) and Half Moon conures.

Many years ago, I built a chicken pen out of 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe and those PVC connectors used for furniture. I covered it with 1 inch chicken wire. Even designed a door with workable hinges from PVC. It cost about $200 for a 12 x 12 pen and it has lasted 8 years. It is lightweight and easily moved. I weight it down with concrete blocks at the corners. A shade cloth over the top works great.

Carla,
Which was the better seller's market last night? Jones or Blanchard? Was there a difference between hatching eggs and chicks?

I like the way you put a picture of the birds on the hatching eggs you were selling. Great marketing!
