Nope it just happens when it happens as far as I know! Once they start you can isolate them and give them a clutch of eggs and they will usually jump right on them. They just have to get their laying out. Sometimes leaving the nest full of marked eggs will stimulate them.

Well, my guinea hen is officially broody. Guess the candy did her in.

gots big plans renovating today? You do know you need that done by the summer right? I wanna hang not work! Actually if you are still working whe i am down there i will throw my tool belt in the truck! I works for for dinner! ( I really hate eating dinner alone)

When are you coming down? We are looking at being done by the end of May. We were hoping to be done by the end of this month, but that didn't work out. We fired the contractors and now have to rip out everything they did wrong. Which means everything they did. Not one thing they did met our specifications. I guess we are just too picky. I guess we shouldn't want it done right. . . NOT. We will start working on it ourselves today. Well as soon as Andrew gets done feeding the cattle. We already tore out the wall between the kitchen and mud room. We have to wait for the electrician to come back to finish the kitchen because the idiots lost the pieces for the stove plug and we now have live wires open. We also had outlets and a switch on the wall that we took out. We actually have the breaker to the back part of the house turned out for now. I am going to finish destroying the bathroom today and then come home to babysit. I thought I was gonna get off easy today, but it looks like I will have the babies again.
