There are several of us on here that raise and enjoy silkies. I do and so does BetsyOK on here. She has some very beautiful show birds. She's not real often but she will be at our get together next weekend. Don't know if you've heard of it but it will be a wonderful time and there will be silkies there for sale.

Glad to hear Fairie is ok, was getting a bit worried when no one had heard from her in a while.

Well one week to go for POOPS!!!!

Chuck congrats on the grandbaby. She is so cute! I will be totally thrilled when it comes time to be a grandma but am totally ok with that being a few more years.

Sooner mentioned feeders, I am actually going to bring a couple to sale, along with a couple of custom made brooders. Been experimenting with a new design for feeders to go in the brooder. So far so good and can put enough food and water in there to last 3-4 days.

I lost another two chicks for the batch that came in on Wednesday from Purely Poultry. I know it is just part of having chickens that you loose some but man does it really suck. I have a little favorelle that seems a bit limp so I gave her some squishy food and vitamins so hopefully that will get her going.

Oh yeah forgot to mention I have talked to two different people who raise birds here in the area that did not know about BYC. I mentioned the site to them and POOPS hopefully we will have some more new friends to add to the family. One lady I talked to yesterday lives some where near Elmore City (where ever the heck that is) and raises birds and has some poults for sale in a week. I have some more bourbon reds on order from her, but she also has some naragassetts (oops on the spelling), royal palm and easterns getting ready to hatch. So I guess I better find out where Elmore city is since I will be heading out there next Thursday or Friday. Yeah!

Hope everyone is planning for a nice weekend. It sure is lovely outside right now. Might have to go wander around in the moonlight here for a while.

Good evening everyone just got back from the hospital.had to go hold that baby again.she is such a doll mom an dad were both so tired an we got out of there an let them rest. Got 50 big roosters on the trailer for tulsa tomarrow hope it dont rain me out

Those roosters will wake up in the morning and be thinking "I don't remember going to sleep with you. Whats your name anyway? Hey this ain't my coop. Where am I?"

Muesky its a nice night here too. Kinda like the quiet before the storm! Its moving closer. Still gonna be worse tomorrow. I managed to get the wife to go out and sit on the deck for a little bit. Its real warm ahead of the front.
Had another hen hatch today. actually two did but one got scared off her nest once and her eggs aren't hatching good. I gave them to the other one and reset her tonight,Without an incubator I have to take advantage of every broody I can! I have several little chicks I'm debating on bring to poops. It would be a long trip for babies so I'm not for sure.
Sooner don't you just love the way they schedule those kids games. Its like us ee how difficult we can make this on the parents for the weekend! We go thru that with our Madison's games too. Now she is doing soccer,before that was volleyball,before that was basketball. Grandma said thtas ok as long as it keeps her from thinking about boys we will go as long as she can hold out!lol
