HMM....I'm liking this idea....

STILL looking for really cruddy silkies over here!!! I won't be showing them, so if you don't want to sell your "cull" silkies to a person who's going to show them...throw them this'a'way!!!

Anyways....Graceful, I can't WAIT to see what kinds of breeds they have!

I dropped off the POOPS t-shirt design today at the screen printer. I was told a tentative price of $10 per shirt for a 4 color logo on a medium gray shirt. That entails changing a few of the colors to make just 4 colors. The lady who does the setup was not there. I will be talking with her next week. At that time, I will get the actual price. I gave an estimate of 30-40 t-shirts. They have a 2 week turnaround time presently.

I asked if orders could be called in and mailed out. They said no problem. I figured that would be good for the Okies who would not be attending or wanted one before April 25th. I'll give the contact information once everything is concrete.

For everyone who wants me to order one for them, PM me and I'll make and update a list of orders on this thread. Include the sizes and numbers in your PM. I'll try to go back through this thread to get a list of the requested t-shirts from before.

I know it has been mentioned about adding something to the price of the t-shirts to help offset the cost of the clubhouse rental & purchase of meat. Is that something to be considered or would a silent auction be better for raising money for those costs?

I called and made a reservation at the Choctaw KOA. The lady laughed about us having the POOPS. I'm number 2 for POOPS. I'm not number 2 but the second person reserved for the POOPS party. I wonder who is number 1? I guess being number 2 makes me the true POOPS of the group? I know what number 1 and number 2 is but what is number 3 and beyond? Okay, I'll be quiet now...

I'm blaming this on sleep deprivation again. I was making chicken pens until 10:30 last night.

on the T-shirts!!!! I had already said i wanted some but will need to check with the wife on how many and what sizes.

I believe that number 3 would be the need to do #1 & #2...#4 would be #2 that is acting like #1...in other words would go through a screen...#5 would be the kind that lifts you off the toilet with the explosion...#6 would be well I don't know...tell you what I will go drink a couple Dt. Mt. Dews and I should have some more answers

It took some investigating and hours of watching but I finally found where a few of my hens, and also my turkey hens have been laying, when they dont lay in the coop. I uncovered a nest with 14 chicken eggs, and 17 turkey eggs, in the corner of goat shed. I thought my turkeys were slacking off, but apparently they have just been hiding them from me, so I now have around 30 royal palm eggs in the bator.

Hi all, I just sent the Urch.Turnland list to Grace, maybe she can put it on the forum, I couldn't figure out how to do it, Have a couple dozen more eggs saved up to hatch if anyone is interested in some Black Austrlorp eggs, let me know, going to put the EE rooster in with the hens this weekend, I am putting him in with some Giant Cochin hens to, we'll see what comes out??? OK, so I have a dumb question. Really dumb, so go ahead and pardon my dumbness ahead of time and just give me the answer and put me out of my misery.

My chickens were a gift from a guy who has dozens and dozens, and really doesn't care about them except to produce fertilizer. In the great-gathering-in, I got three roos. Two were original to his flock, games I do believe, and one was a newbie and I've been told he's a Golden Giant. It certainly fits, he's golden, and, well, huge.

Now a music student told me today that only one rooster would survive, unless I pen the other two seperately or re-home them. Is this true? I've had them for a month, and there's what I would consider the usual friction, but with almost three acres to run around on there's been no bloodshed or anything other than "She's mine, find your own."

Thoughts?

It's not a definite Dot, some roosters get a long, but most don't. You should watch them and make sure that they don't start tearing each other up. It also depends on how many hens you have. If you have enough hens to go around between the three of them, and they have enough space, you are less likely to have problems. We have two roosters, one is a bantam, and the other is partially blind and 4 hens(the other ones have been picked off by predators) and they do just fine. It depends on the chickens, the space they have, and how many hens they have to go around.

How many hens do you have?
