Montana is super cute. At POOPS he came up to me and was started talking - very seriously - about something. He talked for a long time. I admit that I don't understand 3 Year Old, so I have no idea what he was telling me, but I sure like him! Cute pup, too!

He is so much like his Mother in attitude but looks just like me.

Sometimes we can't get him to shut-up and go to sleep.

It seems he likes to talk more when it is bedtime than any other time.

Hope that hospital coop works for you.

Thanks.

Doc! The coop is great - perfect for what I need - thank you!

TJ's Na-Na :

Beautiful weather over here today. Waiting
for lightening to strike me to get me up
and going.........and not a cloud in the sky.

Got the guys moving about 100 chicks out
to the brooder room....will enjoy a quiet
livingroom for about 30 minutes. Then,
they'll unload the incubator......again....
About ready to shut down on chickens
and start the quail and "get er done",
and go fishing !!!!

Pa-Pa and I have 12 years in today....LOL
And, they said it wouldn't last. Of course,
it can't hurt that we're so old we don't
even remember what Plan B was.....

Hope all of you have a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !

Good luck with getting the guys to stop hatching.
Happy Mother's Day to you as well.
Tell Bill and TJ hello.

Kronk is thinking about throwing some wood in the fire cave and
throwing some sort of dead thing in for dinner tomorrow.

Well folks some bad news then some good news....... I went to the hospital yesterday morning with my jaw, neck, and my left arm aching, sweating and a headache, along with nausea. They put me in the ER and ran ensign test and blood test and EKGs about every two hours,my blood pressure dropped out of sight and they stood me on my head and pumped me full of fluids and nausea meds and AI finally broke the sweats and came back to normal for me! The only thing they really found is that I had Articular Fibrillation (??) and I was back to normal for now, so six hours later they sent me home with some nausea med and told me to rest and take it easy ans drink lots of fluids. SOOOOOO today I feel some better, my arm and neck still hurt some and still have a slight headache, very tired and sluggish. So Just wanted to let you all know before someone on facebook spread the word, Love ya all, Lynn

Congratulations on the 12 year anniversary. We celebrated 27 years yesterday. We are like y'all - we don't recall what Plan B was

Are those guys going to get you to the lake this year? As I recall, you talked about it all summer long last year and they just kept bringing home meat and produce for you to freeze, can and pickle.

Lynn,
Glad they were able to get you "back to normal" whatever that means.

Very glad it wasn't a heart attack and that you did the sensible thing and went to the ER. All your symptoms sound like heart attack symptoms and hope that the doctor has a plan so that you don't have the irregular heartbeats come back.

P&B - Well, WTG to you guys, too ! "13" has
always been my lucky number, BUT, when it
comes to Na-Na getting to go to the lake
this year, think I've gotten the message
across that "12" better be a good one...LOL

Lynn - Hope all is well....BUT....if you have
another episode of this, get with a good
cardio physician. Several things can cause
this fibrillation, but it's not something to
ignore, especially with the BP dropping
instead of going up. Take care of yourself
buddy. You haven't tried this next jelly
recipe yet !!! WILL get that to you soon.

Have a good one !

I tried to make the spacing small. You think I should go back and push them together so there arent any slats?

Originally I had the spacings higher up rather then lower and dh said I should make them lower so the rain would roll down and not fall through the slats and get the birds wet.

i'd be most concerned at the chickenwire- the window- see a couple days before poops i lost a duckling to a coon, he actually chewed or pried open a weak spot in the fence- i suddenly realized just how determined they can be... so any weak spot or say a half inch gap could be a problem- for us, unless they are in total lockup, i bring them inside at nite- the ducks are in the spare bathroom, banties have a inside coop, the living room has the little ducklings on a sheet, the large fowl babies in a covered box, and the rehab hen in a laundry basket-

i've never seen a coon attack remains and never want to see it again..

so we are working on coops and pens....

Lyn! be careful and see a specialist if you can.....prayin for ya

Lynn,

Your symptoms sound like my dad's when he had a mild heart attack. He was in an airport, so he got help pretty quickly, and one of the gate staff for AA gave him aspirin and bottled water. The paramedics told him later that taking the aspirin with the symptoms as they were decreased his chances for a total blockage.

We'll be praying for your full recovery. Rest and let those around you help.

Perhaps I should make a piece that fits over it like I did the door, to cover it at night.
I was actually thinking of making the next one where it opens up for day by removing panels, and can close for night by putting them back on.
I know Ive seen an ark like that. Just have to find it again.
Thanks!

NaNa and Bill congrats on the big anniversary! Hope Mr. Bill came thru with a "BIG" present!lol

Well after 2957 miles the Lea's are back at in Tennessee! It was a great trip, visited with lots of folks, saw lots of new country. We made a big circle in the middle of the state and went from eastern border to western border! All the birds and the Taco dog made it home great!

Got back and have a chick just hatched in the bator(hope there are more this time!). The grass may have to be bailed1 the iris and peonies are in full bloom although knocked down by the wind and rain! They are still trying to recover from the floods here. Lots of homes and businesses damaged. Thankfully we are on a hill.

WEll I'm off to bed ,slept on mother-in-laws floor last night and drove for 10 hours today so I'm a little tired. By the way,mother-ilaw is home from hospital, has already forgotten she went!lol. Didn't come home with us . Wife and daughter will proably go get her in a couple of weeks.
