I stopped over at Mary's swap meet for a while today. Oh my goodness! If I didn't see theses sellers around a lot I would swear they spent most of thier time on the French Riviera.
Laying hens were selling for $15 to $20 a pop and one guy told me he had sold about 50.
Another guy told me he had sold several but he thought it was a little slow due to the cold damp weather.
Someone here was looking for Crele OEGBS. I talked to a guy that had a pair of nice ones. Also some nice Self blues oegb's and Mille fluer oegb's.
Most of the SQ OEG's were $20 to $40 a pair.
Some really nice standard games too.
I thought about buying a hen that supposedly was a black copper Marans.
I know she wasn't pure though. I think she was crossed with a cochin. She was really big. I couldn't justifyy $20 for one hen right now.
Lots of ducks, geese and peacocks.
If you guys will remind me of what you are looking for, I can pass along these guys numbers.
One of them had heard about our POOPS event and he asked about bringing birds. I told him it wasn't just an open swap but I would let him know what people were looking for and let him know so he could bring them over if people in our group wanted them.
