That looks like a pretty cool deal. I'll have to have them send me a copy of the catalog so I can mail to Bil and sweet talk him into getting a photo with it when he gets to his permanent base. It was neat to look at the photos and see several places that I/we have been: the Empire State Building, the St Louis Arch, the Alamo, and COB Speicher in Iraq. I don't know what we would use the gift certificate on, maybe some of their books. I've been trying to talk Bil into a turkey (or two or three or...) but so far he has been resistant.

I've heard that their sting is pretty nasty. I've only seen a couple of the littlest baby ones on the floor before, usually in the bathroom, so I assume that they are coming in through the vent. I've only seen the big ones outside, so finding that guy hanging out on the top of the stove was a bit of a shock. I'm not sure what he was after, but if he was expecting me to scramble him an egg then he was sorely disappointed.

I was trying to catch a coachwhip once that sought refuge under a large rock, when I got a grip on the rock to flip it over something that felt like getting my forefinger smashed against the underside of the rock with a hammer made me drop it, I looked the finger over expecting to see obvious damage to go along with all the pain but there was nothing at all so I thought maybe it was some kind of pulled nerve thing since the rock weighed a few hundred pounds so I got another grip and rolled it over and found a smashed scorpion where it had nailed me on it's last dying effort, the thing was covered with babies some smashed some still hanging on and a bunch scrambling for their lives, it's a wonder I only got hit once. It hurt like a wasp sting for the first few seconds but then was no worse than a bee sting after a bit. I have them in the yard but pay more attention to watching out for fiddlebacks, black widows, copperheads and pigmy rattlers these are a lot more common and much worse LOL

right now i have those whites , and then i have two roos and a blue hen , but im not sure they are pure ameraucanas , they have the blue legs and white bottoms of feet , and the hen lays blue eggs but im waiting for comparison for the breed standard , but the whites are my favorite

Wayne...I'm holding my breath but it looks VERY promising to start around the second week in Nov. I go to court to close out all of the estate junk on my parents...then as quick as the bank can get the paperwork processed we can start. I'm a little afraid to even hope cause there have been so many problems we've run into on my parents estate. But the attourney assures me it finally over.

Glad you are back, Don't wait so long between visits.
How are things in your neck of the woods?

Fast, hard, and continuous--waking each morning and looking to the east, just a little disappointed. How are things there? I've kept up with the forum--you guys are keeping our prayer list hopping!
