morning sooner- a bit on the nippy side! or as hubby would say, we are in the nippy era!

ok off to get second cup of coffee and decide what needs to be done today- hey sooner, what bantams were you trying to get rid of?? my cochin girl is not gurgling as bad, wonder if this is a chronic thing for her? got her at last poops so don't know her history- other than she sneezes and wheezes sometimes

I'm not sure what all I have Robin, most will be EE's. As for your cochin I would take Les's advice and if she comes down with it again treat with the LS 50, if she gets it after treating with that then my answer would be yes she is & always will be a carrier. Just surprised that none of your others get it.

Good morning, at work this morning, waiting to get off. The longest hour of my shift, the last one, we are the only truck at the station so chances of getting off on time ..... slim to none! but still hoping

Good morning peeps!

Had a slight set back yesterday, found out it's gonna cost several thousand dollars to get our water well drilled and put in, or I should say several thousand more than I thought it would, but I have to get it done, gotta have water!

It's just frustrating because it will delay us getting on the farm until February or March due to all the extra expense....

Oh well, at least once it's done we won't have a water bill every month!

It's chilly out this morning so of course I had to add some hot cocoa in with my coffee...yummy!

I'm still going to be setting up my chicken coop and run because we live about 7 - 10 minutes from where our farm is, so I am keeping the faith, it will all work out, it's just hard when things don't go as expected.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day today and keep warm!

Wow, I need you all to come build some for me too. I need to put together another quick tractor/pen today. Too much of a weakling at the moment. Brrr!

We're going to do church Sat so the kids can be here to catch each bird as they come out of their coops Sun AM for PT testing/banding, then into the tractor pen. I figured that would be easiest.

I made our hotel arrangements (non refundable) before our church settled on their dates, so were going to the show. I'm supposed to be here, but I told them I would do any and all grunt work up until Fri afternoon then the kids and I are off to OK. I'll help with any leftover clean-up Mon or even Sun if we're back in time.

Well the snow didn't show up nor the 20 degrees but it is in the fortys today and supposed to get there tonight. I want to start another pen but guess I will do inside work,ironing,cleaning and sewing.
I made one final cull last night and will take those to the sale sat. Then I am set for spring ,that is except for all the pens!Kept moe EE's than I planed but they are just too good and pretty to get rid of.

Wayne glad you missed the snow.
It was 33 here last night. They are promising us four more days of nice weather before the pattern changes and the bottom falls out of it.
Supposed to start a long wet period beginning Wednesday.
