Okies in the BYC The Original

I found it easier to just add the BYC Okie's, family and friends to my prayer list and insert specifics as I go and remember them.


Glad it seems to be warming a bit. I lost one special bird of DS's to piling that I'm so mad at myself about. We inspected, tested and banded every one of our birds yesterday except for the CX.

How many did you have to test??? I was so surprised at how many I had when we tested.

Teach need to be in trouble for droppin in & tellin us he's in chicken trouble & not coming back!

It seems there is a bad bug going around, sveral of ours stayed home late last week, Brandon is home today.... Hope they all get over it quickly.
by the way this is Carl, steph is gone again so the sale is back on.. even big birds this time.

41 tested. About 3/4 needed banded. All got their flea spritz. A few broken feathers were pulled. Photo shoots for a few. Everyone got a thorough going over. Only about 4 hrs out of the day, but with everything else

.


The kids let some of them out of their pens because, well they didn't listen, so they had to chase them down. The eldest brought in a box and the youngest said there was 2 million dollars in it. I was really excited until I opened it and found 2 Ameraucanas in there.

Let me wait one more day before I let you know Carl. It was planned to be done today but I have to take my grandmother to town so I have put it off till tomorrow.......if something happens & he doesn't make it, I might be calling you.

Anyone have a good place to look to see what the correct way to do it is??? I was told to look in the book of standards but I didn't find it.....

Madison got Blue/Golden OEGB this weekend.....gone have to look to see what a nice one looks like.

its the pitchfork folks...not mad at me yet but others are getting them riled. Mainly they feel that folks are raising birds for purposes best not talked about. True or not isn't a good reason to take my birds...I may try toget away but we have a tournament but the wife does want birds to go away...

ssshhhh...we are having a tournament and it is kinda whacko

They just want to get rid of chickens at this point...heck in our twon we have several birds that aren't even considered animals so....I will always have something...I am a rebel that way.

We had some of those poultry raisers for other purposes down the block for awhile a couple of summers ago.

We go out of the way to keep our neighbors okay with our birds. I thought they were going to ruin it for all of us here in town.

Yay!!!!...I am shipping out more birds this afternoon....I REALLY, REALLY need the space. Tribble City here...I have them everywhere except up on the roof, (and there may be some there..not sure). I just hatched way too many chicks and need more room as they grow.
