AL - I had the same thought earlier this evening when I went out to feed. The sun was shining and there was no wind moving the pear blossoms that are still on the tree, despite the torrential rain and wind we had yesterday and this morning. OKLAHOMA weather.... that is the answer.

I was in a mood all day, I guess it just got to me. the wind allways get's my shorts in a wad. In my business I depend on the weather to schedule my work and it just makes it so difficult to do in the wind, I don't like delays. so sorry for the mood earlier to all.

Sunday moring 5.30 A.M. I just got up from a nap where is everyone? 5 hours that was a nice nap..I haven't slept that long at one time in weeks

it feels pretty good.

Talk about remembering things,I seen a story on the world news a week or so ago about people that go around and record old stories,they were from Washington DC and they did it for free (or at least I think it was free) Now I am not sure

but any ways I was thinking about having it done for my Mom, she is 97 and is as sharp as a tack, I am going to do some research on this matter..

I seem to be awake with you. I want to know what happened to the good ol'days when I could sleep 12 hours straight?!! This is the second time I have gotten up to check on the chicks so I am just staying up.
If that doesn't pan out with your mom, just buy her a tape player so she can record herself. It will be something you will love.

Got to get coffee now.

Chick update: All but 4 have hatched.

Good morning Sooner
When I first started hatching chicks I would get up a couple times a night and go to the barn to
remove anyone that was dry enough for the brooder and make sure they had tasted the water. Now it's just ole hat and they wait until feeding time, I always care for the chicks first.

I have been recording Mom for the last few years, But I just remembered the news story..
she is so much fun sometimes when she tries to relate what is happening now a days with what was happening 60 or 70 years ago when my brothers were growing up..
