OMG!!! ROFLMAO!!!!! I have got to see this too, just to get the picture out of my mind!!!! Beth you are too funny!!!! Get you a live trap and set it, I put a cracked egg in the back just past the set lever or use a tuna can wired to the floor(punch two holes in the bottom and run a U shaped piece of wire through it and set it in and twist the wire on the bottom of the trap, put egg or tune in it, may catch a cat every now an then!!!) just past the flap. If you catch a skunk either shoot it in the trap and let it air out all day and then dump the dead skunk in a feed sack or put a tarp or a box or something dark over the whole trap and move it some place to release the animal. Be very careful when handling traps with animals in them, I have had Coons, Possums and wild cats reach through the wire and scratch and bite me, I prefer the shot to the head in the trap and dump into a feed sack method myself, that way I know they won't come back for seconds!!! Trip went very well. Thought I posted on here; maybe didn't?

All family members except the four (including Vashi) in Tulsa area were there! Was a last-minute trip decision, but a good one. Everyone was available and youngest son's wife (where I stayed) was off for that weekend. Weather worked perfectly also. Was a bit surprised by at least 4" of snow on the ground at son's home, but all the roads were good.

Friend has really nice silkies, but had very few for sale. Only brought back the three hens I was interested in. The other birds I would have wanted for myself or you were not for sale!

Hope the sick kids get well quickly. I know from experience that trep throat and Scarletina can be serious. Thank goodness for today's antibiotics!

Beth, Skunks are not climbers so if your chickens are on a roost they wouldn't bother them.
Chicks or chickens on the ground could be a target. They are more likely to get eggs than birds but they are also great mouse catchers.
