Stimpy -
we need a program geru to overlay the Tulsa State Fair dates, the various county fair dates, any poultry shows in Oklahoma, the home games for OSU and OU and the Oklahoma hunting seasons for turkey and deer, to see if there is a weekend in September or October when there are none of the foregoing events scheduled. Can you figure that one out?

GracefulBantams--Yes, it was a good thing to get the bators. I would love to have a big one that hatches several hundred eggs. But, we are just taking this thing a little at a time.

And yes, I do use them at school in the spring. That's how I got started with chickens. Last spring we hatched in 8 classrooms and the chicks had to go somewhere so I volunteered to get rid of them. Well, the rest is history. LOL

I've got to go get some tomato plants put out and my grandbaby is letting me know it is time to go outside. I really have some questions for you wise folks. I started 16 doz. eggs this morning and I hope I'm not in over my head. Anyway, after I get finished outside with chores I will come back and shoot some questions at you all.

After looking at that extensive list, we may need the Okies in the BYC to tell us which ones they plan to exhibit in and the date - I don't think it will be possible to avoid ALL OF THOSE dates when scheduling something in Sept or October

Hey Grace - Thanks for the site....Will be keeping an eye on it
for later updates.....Spotted a couple that we'd be interested in....
but....around here, I figure POOPS might take the top slot...LOL

Henny - It was a gift "from" God, and I'm sure you get kuddos
when you share it. Don't be the least bit timid about sharing it.....
that might take kuddos off your tally.....LOL

Have a good one !

Well Oct1st will be the start of deer archery season, it wont bother as many of us as later in the month when Muzzleloader season kicks in. I doubt theres gonna be any perfect weekend thats not gonna conflict with something else. I would vote to have it in October just for the possibility of cooler weather. Us fat guys cant handle heat.

Haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread in oh 20 pages, but wanted to know if anyone was interested in a 21 sq ft fridge to convert? The compressor is almost out on it and they are delivering our new one tomorrow, so if anyone is interested let me know asap.

I will be going to the Stephens County Free Fair in August (19 - 22). Now, my local fair is the Bryan County Free Fair. I will be busy that entire week and even the weekend before, but I have not heard when it will be.

From what I can tell, Oct. 24th is the only Saturday open. OU is @ KU and OSU is @ Baylor. From the list that GB sent, there are no county fairs that Saturday. The fall turkey season (archery) is on, as is the archery deer season. They both last for most of the fall, so missing one weekend shouldn't be a problem.
